«Koselig hotell i American River. Hyggelige ansatte og rene rom. Vi ankom rundt 19.30 og klokken 20 stengte matservering og like etter resepsjon. Vi fikk bestilt god mat til tross for det nærmet seg stengetid. Det kunne med fordel vært opplyst om stengetid på hotell og restaurant under informasjon om hotellet. Kaldt på rommet da vi ankom, men god AC. Mulig varmere på rommet på sommerstid da vi var der på vinterstid.»

«Lovely Manager who helped us to check in slightly earlier than normal which was very much appreciated. The villa had every kitchen item we needed for self-cooking while staying. There is also a washing machine in the Villa and a place to hang laundry in the little private courtyard. Great location in Kingscote opposite the jetty.»

«Rommet vi fikk var i bakre del av "hotellet" som var husvogner som ble brukt til hotellrom. Flotte, store soverom, stue og kjøkkendel og stort bad. Positiv overraskelse. Nærområde med spisesteder og butikker. Alt rundt stengte kl. 20.00 om kvelden, inkludert restauranter og butikk.»

«This location is great and so close to Flinders Chase National Park. It’s quiet and clean with great amenities. Bed was very comfortable and we see lots of wildlife. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Well done!»

«Overall, we enjoyed our stay, however, at this price point, there were simply too many issues. The property was extremely dirty, every piece of kitchenware, cutlery, and glassware had to be washed before use. We tried contacting the property the day before our arrival to ask about food options but never received a call back. Additionally, the air conditioning didn’t work during our stay. «The house was well presented and the pantry was well stocked with the basics. Extra quilts and blankets are provided which we made use of as the nights were very cold, the AC did an ok job of keeping the place warm.Towels are provided for showers but no hand towel in case that bothers anyone.The river and beach are both beautiful and within easy walking distance.All in all the property was everything we needed for our stay on Kangaroo island.»

«This place was perfect for us. I had 2 young grandies with me and the play area out the back was the added bonus. No complaints. The host was receptive to any messages I sent. I particularly liked that the kitchen was well equipped and all spaces were very clean. We liked the location, as from there, it was easy to navigate around the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.»
