«I’ve now stayed at this house at least 5 different times and through every season of the year. The house is very spacious and cozy. The back porch is a great spot to have meals or to just sit. It’s incredibly close to hiking trails, horse riding, restaurants, and the ski resort. And it’s a quick drive over to La Veta. The house is always incredibly clean, has a great selection of board games, book, cds, vhs, and dvds. It has plenty of bedrooms, a very comfy living room, and plenty of everything ...

We did not find out that you really need a 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway until the day before we got there because it was raining so hard. Luckily we had a 4-wheel drive vehicle. «Nine of us thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay! Space enough for quiet times and group times, indoors and outdoors on the large 2nd floor deck and individual decks. Windows everywhere had us feeling we shared the outdoors in privacy. Hearing birds and the Cuchara River through open windows was a joy. Every bedroom is nice; there isn’t a bedroom that isn’t great. «It was a cute cabin, pretty close to town (just right down the road!) We didn't get to use the fireplace because there wasn't any dry wood inside available. It was all outside and it had just rained so that was a bummer. But overall, very good experience! »
