«I consider it risky to venture away from the known chain hotels, but I struck gold with this one! This was a very unique stay. It resembles a motel but doors do open to an interior hall full of antiques. We were greeted by chickens as we came out in the morning. Beds are very comfy, with soft, fuzzy blankets like home. «This is our second visit for a Valentine’s Day get away. You have spotty cell service, no WiFi, no TV’s. There are games, a full kitchen, fireplace, and a hot tub. «The House of Joy was so fun, before we left we were already talking about booking again. Our family went for a wedding. Most of our time was spent in the pool. Unfortunately, the wifi was down (and the electric went out for a little) - not their fault. BUT it made us all put our phones down and enjoy the moment with each other even more!
