The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice! «Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious.»

«We loved the halfling house. The overall impression was awe-inspiring, but as we soaked in the little details, the richness just deepened. Nothing failed to transport us to Middle Earth: the architecture, furniture, the curtains, the dishes, the fixtures. Every little decoration tickled me, from the books, to the games, to the light switch plates, to the figurines. Amazing! We watched the LOTR trilogy, cooked some hobbity meals, and dressed up in costumes the host has available for pictures. ...

«A great apartment right on main street in Nauvoo. It wasn’t a problem and I didn’t think to contact the host, but we couldn’t figure out how to get the heater to work in the living/kitchen area but we were fine with the heat in the bedrooms. All went well! Thanks for a great place to stay!»

«My husband & I stayed a few nights at the cabin for our anniversary. The place is beautiful & oh so comfy. There were a few bugs indoors, but with the cabin being so far out in the country it's pretty expected. Communication with our host was super easy & quick. I needed a question answered & messaged the her. She responded within minutes. I would definitely stay again.»

«Perfect place to stay for a family wanting to visit historic Nauvoo! We enjoyed the pioneer feel of the apartment and were pleasantly surprised (we didn't realize before we arrived) that it's incredibly close to the Nauvoo temple. It made it easy for both my husband and I to take a turn going to the temple while the other stayed with the younger children, as the other could simply walk to the temple. »
