"Great location and lovely staff, but some details could be improved
Trinco Blu by Cinnamon has a fantastic beachfront location, and the staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The pool area and surroundings were very pleasant, and the hotel is well situated for enjoying Trincomalee.
We had booked for four people, but the room was initially prepared with beds and towels for only three. We had to discuss this with the hotel before an extra bed and additional towels were arranged for our eight-year-old daughter. Unlike another hotel we stayed at, however, Trinco Blu did not ask us to pay extra for the bed.
Our package was described as all-inclusive, but all drinks were charged separately. Considering the relatively high price of the stay compared with the general price level in Sri Lanka, it would have been reasonable to include at least some drinks, or at minimum bottled water with meals.
There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, and the cleaning could have been a little more thorough. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful location and the excellent staff, but the room preparation, bathroom cleanliness, and all-inclusive offering could be improved."
