«We stayed in the cottages, which overlooked the Missouri river and railroad tracks. I enjoyed setting on the deck in the evening watching them. The cottage we stayed in met or exceeded our expectations. We will stay there again. One thing we found out is that most of the restaurants in Herman close on Tuesday and Wednesday so we will not be staying in Hermann on those evenings again. «Larry and Linda are very knowledgeable in providing tips to the local area. Larry used to be the Mayor of Hermann and councilman at the county level. The upstairs bedroom with onsuite bath was charming, spacious, and comfortable. However, if you are tall or overweight the upstairs is probably not a good choice as the steps are steep but they have other very nice rooms with beautiful screened in terrasse. «Bathrooms are so dated dingy and poor material condition. NOISEY PLACE NOISY ! partying next door til 2am Had to change rooms. Then Slamming Doors at 5-6 am.. both mornings after the move.. The doors a full ON slam , no Soft Close like a REAL Hotel. if you want rest and relaxation Don't STAY HERE. Drive elsewhere it will be worth it.»

«If you like the feel of an era of a time gone by, you will not be disappointed. This place has been restored to spindler and makes the entire place easier to just relax. The staff on duty were attentive without being intrusive and we were able to be ourselves. I really hope we get a chance to return as I would really really enjoy a longer stay.»

«The property was beautiful, in a great location with outdoor seating areas for the guests. The owner thought of just about everything you may need during your stay and made them readily available. The only complaint I have was the bed in the Van Gogh room. It was aweful. It was old, extremely uncomfortable and should have been replaced long before my stay.»
