«We stayed here just passing through. The beds were clean, though there were small cigarette burns on some of the sheets. The rooms were secure and the premises quiet on the Friday night we stayed. We rented 2 rooms and one of them appeared to have mildew on the vent in the bathroom. One of the rooms we initially got did not have a properly flushing toilet and was missing a light bulb. When we told the front desk they promptly changed us to a different room that was proper. While there was ...

«If you just need a place to sleep and shower, the room is nice and clean with great hot/cold shower. The mini fridge and tv are working properly. The great thing we loved is the accessibility to the Blue Ridge Parkway. »

«The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. «We really didn’t know what we were getting into but this place is a beautiful gem on Smith Mountain Lake. All new, clean, serene. They have kayaks and standup paddle boards. We brought our own floats and did a lot of swimming. We went over to the state park and height, explored some of the historical markers in the area, and there’s plenty of biking and kayaking in Roanoke, which is only about 40 minutes away. The owners are very dedicated and friendly. We loved it and plan to go back.»
