«Our room was not clean and we found long hair under our sheets. No toilet paper holder and heard a noise clanking all night long. The owner of the property lives right in front of the cabin and is always out - no privacy. The front door has glass windows that we had to cover with a jacket as people can see right into the cabin right where the bed was. Owner is very strict on dogs even when he charged us for a pet fee. Parking was very tight. Carpet in the room was dirty and bugs in the cabin. ...

«The property appeared clean. The property is very dated and in need of many updates. The carpet, mattress and chairs are well past useful life, Bedspreads, shower curtains, sink and bathtub all had cigarette burns in the non-smoking room.»

«The kitchen had all dishes needed as we also brought some of ours to be sure for certain dishes. The lighting was not good at all and one of the sky lights was out. We had to bring a lamp down from upstairs to help with being able to see to cook and play our board games at night. Other wise very nice.»

«What a beautiful peaceful retreat! Literally in the middle of nowhere, make sure you get good directions it can be tricky, a little clue it's in elbow canyon. The cabin is cozy with amazing views of the mountains. Comfortable furniture and beds, games, internet, really a hidden gem. And if finding a place to eat in town proves challenging, go to Perkins Place they have great food. »

«We had a great stay at the Mackay Guesthouse at Iron Ore Reserve. Even though it was snowing and very windy during our visit, the house was warm, cozy, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to hunker down. The home was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of space for our group. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, and communication with the hosts was excellent. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.»
