«What a beautiful peaceful retreat! Literally in the middle of nowhere, make sure you get good directions it can be tricky, a little clue it's in elbow canyon. The cabin is cozy with amazing views of the mountains. Comfortable furniture and beds, games, internet, really a hidden gem. And if finding a place to eat in town proves challenging, go to Perkins Place they have great food. »

«We had a great stay at the Mackay Guesthouse at Iron Ore Reserve. Even though it was snowing and very windy during our visit, the house was warm, cozy, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to hunker down. The home was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of space for our group. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, and communication with the hosts was excellent. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.»

«We made family memories here on the deck while watching and listening to the creek and goats. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking spaghetti and breakfast too. The place and rooms were very clean the host was friendly and helpful…there were farm fresh eggs in the fridge and friendly animals to enjoy while staying too. It’s off the beaten path but really gives the feel of Challis there! We will likely stay again on our next visit.»
