«Fridge did not work. Poop stuck to the outside of the toilet. Black mold behind the toilet and sink. We had two homeless people drinking outside our room at the table and chairs out front which we told the front desk when morning cam one was passed out on the table. Called to ask for the manager or manager and was told manager was away for the next couple day but would get him to call. «The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! »
