«The water park and staff were great, the property is in need of an upgrade»

«The place is nice enough and entertaining for little ones. Love that there are bikes and boats to use. Some other things felt halfway thought-through. I received a welcome email saying that breakfast would be served everyday. When we woke up on Monday, there was no breakfast and no communication. The grill kit comes with utensils and a lighter, but doesn’t come with anything to put grilled items on or salt/pepper. A few mismatched plates were in the cabinet, though they had not been cleaned ...

«Beautiful place»

«If you have young children the pool area was great. You will have to carry your suitcases up two flights of stairs you will get a room with no outside windows. There is no staff in the building so the noise gets loud. There is no view of the lake The place is very dated wallpaper peeling off the wall»

«Stunning and peaceful property! I also made use of the free access to a kayak and had the most beautiful early morning outing on the lake. Highly recommend!»

«We really liked the location but the heating/cooling system was broken and wouldn’t turn off. So one night we were cold and the next night we were hot. The blankets were thin and short sheeted. The mattresses were not great quality. If someone moved a muscle the other person in the bed could feel it. Delicious Waffles for breakfast and good oj but we had to eat in a closed restaurant space that was under construction so not ideal. The long time breakfast was offered was really nice. «Rooms on lake attract a lot of bugs but overall good amenities.»

«The receptionist was very nice, but the hot tub didn’t work, our room had lots of Asian beetles, at 8:30 there was barely anything left for breakfast, bathroom had long black hair on the floor, needs a deep cleaning»

«The room was very clean and spacious! I liked that we had a huge balcony outside our room for sitting outside! The pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly also!»

«Staff was very friendly and kind»

«This a beautiful spot, conveniently located near Walker. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms and common area are cozy and beautifully decorated. Gary was a wonderful host.»

«I really wanted to like the room and property as I love the area. But as my friend dropped me off (and thank goodness he didn’t leave right away!) I walked into what I thought was the office. However, there was a sign posted saying the check-in office is at the Pelican Bldg. I’m from out of town so I called the number, spoke to the clerk, explained my situation, and asked how to get to the check-in office. She said, “Well, I don’t know where you are so unsure how to direct you.” Really?!? How ...

«The hot tub had broken before we checked in, BUT the guy worked until he fixed it! Thank you! We know the facility is old, but because of that…the pool/hot tub appeared grungy. The employees we encountered were fabulous! We did not go there to fish, but it looks like that may be what most people are there for! The restaurant was really good. Great food!»
