Welcome to Rio Tarcoles, where tourists stop to view these ancient dinosaurs. I've heard a few stories about this place, one being that locals sometimes toss live chickens off the bridge to put on a "show". I also read somewhere that a drunk man was bet $20 to swim across the river...and he did, but didn't quite make it. If you are at all amazed by crocodiles, this place is crazy cool. I've been here a couple of times and still get excited by the number of crocs there are. Once in awhile you'll see a stork slowly walk up to a croc, almost as if he's doing a dare, and the croc will slowly swim towards him. You get your camera ready waiting for something to go down. «Our needs were very well met. The pool activities were great fun. i enjoyed the Salsa and Merengue dance class with Ashley and Gustavo and the pool water aerobics classes were great fun. Lulu and others were great instructors. I am on some medicine that needs refrigeration, and the staff brought me a medical refrigerator so I could get my medicine during the stay. "We did run into some issues, but I would still recommend this hotel. Great rooms, friendly staff and a SUPERB restaurant!! Eat there. And buy the breakfast as well. Esteban, Fernando and Jonathan were very helpful during our stay. We booked a night last minute. There were some issues with our room, and we were moved to another one and fairly compensated. The new room didn’t have any water pressure for the hot water. Front desk called in maintanence, but he did nothing. Would’ve liked to shower after a long day of travelling. Other than that, a perfect stay. "
