«Amenities are excellent. Front guard gate staff were very kind, helpful. Check in was easy. We had several issues in our room, brought them to the attention of the front desk 4 times throughout 2 days. Each time it appeared that we were bothering them with no action taken. Nothing was done prior to our checkout. They were t apologetic or attempted to quickly correct the concerns. The Fitness center evidently runs classes outside of guests. «We stayed one night as we where driving through Blowing Rock. The hotel is charming and private, yet within walking distance to the centre of Blowing Rock. The rooms felt very clean and spacious. The included breakfast was alright - nothing special but atleast theres some warm options to choose from. Friendly staff as well. «Our air conditioner went out after a few hours every day. We had to unplug and plug back in several times to get it to work. I saw we were overcharged (charged twice) for our stay. Upon check out i was going to talk to the staff about it. There was no staff on site during check out hours which was strange. We had to call a phone number posted to get the situation corrected. «The fitted sheet was too small for the mattress and came untucked as soon as you sat on the bed. The pillows were thick and extremely hard. The grounds once lovely and inviting were not cared for with dead plants and weeds throughout the flower beds. In the past when we stayed there were places to sit outside which are now run down and not cared for. No ice machine on the premises but a cooler with individual bags of half melted ice. «Hotel was adequate for a place to sleep. Bathtub was slippery and bathroom was very small. Breakfast was good but not great. Hotel was clean and convenient.»

«Room is spacious. Layout is kind of goofy. They provide soft comfortable couch that looks at a locked door and sink. Not sure if TV pulls far enough off the wall to turn toward the couch but I didn’t want to test it. No check in desk BUT through messaging they are super fast at responding 100% would stay there again Very convenient to everything 4.99 stars. I wish I could have sat on the couch to watch TV.»

«This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed.
