«Clean room. Awesome staff. 24/7 Keurig in the lobby. Walkable to shops and restaurants (strongly recommend Theresa’s cafe for lobster roll). We stayed Sat-Tue, and it’s important to know that many local/regional restaurants are not open Mon/Tue (not sure about Sunday, we had a picnic). The only thing I wish were better was the breakfast - limited choices, mostly carbs, of course and only boiled eggs for GF. They have limited space to serve, so I understand, but it would have been nice to have ...

«This motel was great to explore the area. It was close to the highway and good for an overnight. The room was clean and the area was safe. While the hotel was dated and could use a little TLC, we would definitely recommend Katahdin Valley Motel for anyone looking to explore the beauty in this part of Maine.»

«The remodelled section is lovely. The staff honest and helpful with understanding the hours for local shops and stops. The lack of available food in the vending machines sounds silly but the entire town closes up at or before dark so plan for truckstop gas station food or grab something at a drive thru just before they close up.»

«The water in the shower was cold -- There was no HVAC vents or way to control the climate in the room -- No one was working the desk when I checked in - my key was scotch taped to the door in an envelope .. The people in the resturant were very nice and welcoming ..»

«It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left ...

«The property was sweet. Loved the pond in the back and the white goose. There are 4 wheeler trails nearby so want to make another visit to explore. There is a great restaurant around the corner too that was excellent. Good food great prices. Overall a great place to get away.»
