«Great throwback experience! Loved the self-service amenities and convenience of the onsite restaurant, mini golf, huge pool, views, etc! Great brewery and breakfast spot with fancy wine, beer, and groceries down the road. Refrigerator in the room, ice machine, game room. Bring quarters for pool and foosball. Will be back next summer to explore the museums.»

«I have stayed in so many hotels and this was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. We debated just leaving but had nowhere else to go. The rooms were very worn and dated and very dirty. The front desk staff spoke limited english and that was a challenge. The on site restaurant was decent honestly but it was the only good thing. There is much to be fixed with this hotel»

«The room was dingy, clearly hadn't been cleaned more than a simple sweep and wipedown of the counter tops. The floor was sticky, buckled, and the floorboards were sticking up, causing us to trip on more than one occasion. The room smelled like pet urine on one side of the room. The walls appeared to be mid-renovation with many spackled holes that hadn't been painted and appeared to have been there a while, with new dings/scratches still left to fix. «Nice view of golf course, but couldn't go on porch... too many flies on sliding glass doors! First room had Hornet nest on bedroom wall inside; 2nd room locked out, battery low on keypad that no one knew how to replace!! Had to leave... manager rarely available to talk to about problems. 2 months later finally got an answer & credit. Terrible experience!»

«After spending 12 hour days with our two granddaughters, 2YO and 4YO, we were more than ready to enjoy the peaceful and nicely appointed space at Turkey Crossing! While a king bed would have been better for us, we still appreciated the cleanness and quaintness of the property! It was so close to so much in both Freeport and Bruswick. We appreciated the early check in as well!»

«The property had a beautiful view of the lake and was conveniently located for attending both the Moxi Festival and the Great Maine Airshow. The beds were comfortable and all the appliances worked well. There were many outdoor attributes like the gas grill and kayaks that we didnt take advantage of. The cabin is rustic and smelled musty upon arrival but did air out overnight. The host was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.»

«Gem of a place to stay visiting our Bates student! House was roomy, very clean, and beds were comfy. Great communication with the hosts. Hope to stay again in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the outdoor spots- balcony on each floor, fire pit area, and lake access. »
