«We were here maybe 15 yrs. ago and the rooms were definitely more rustic. The updated rooms are simple, clean and cozy. The full and efficient kitchen was fine to make a nice dinner. The resort was winding down for the season and staff minimal and in late September the restaurant was closed so it was best to p/u food for breakfast and dinner. Minimal problems included the thermostatically controlled small gas fireplace that was somewhat erratic; sometimes the fan was too noisy at night. ...

«The room was spic N span! The staff was so helpful, courteous and accommodating. Due to no air conditioning & opening the window, the ceiling fan was just not enough for cooling. I would recommend making the wall unit a duel combo making it AC & Heat. Besides excellent lodging accommodations, the recommendations for restaurants were excellent - the Stonefly offers the best fine dining. Maps directions led us right to the house.- hot water in the bathrooms were greatThe bad : - very old and uncomfortable furniture ( couches and beds ). Watch out for shaky entry steps and dining table too.- for summer visit, it was suffocatingly hot inside the house throughout the day. There is no AC and poor ventilation. «The location of the place was great with easy access to Fly in Acres and BLS. The place is quaint upon arrival yet not conducive for elderly people. Parking is on an upper driveway with two options to walk to front door. One of which is a wooden staircase in poor condition.
