«The room was disgusting. Entire room smelled of urine, carpet was ripped/worn and stained - especially near the door. Asked the desk to correct and they gave me a bottle of air freshener as no other rooms were available. Window lock was barely useable (we held it in place with a shoe overnight), thermal panes were broken so glass was fogged, also no screens in window. Bathroom was old, well worn and stained. Multiple layers of caulk have been used over the years to make repairs.»

«The hotel is beautifully situated next to the lake, with unimpeded views to the north of the lake and islands. The balconies and breakfast areas look out on the lake and offer sublime views. The hotel itself is new, beautiful and well appointed; breakfast was great, my husband enjoyed the gym and our family liked the pool. The beds were comfortable. The floors of our room and bathroom were not clean; there were stains on the carpet, hair on the bathroom floor and spatters by the bathroom mirror. ...

«Our entrance door did not fit properly and you could see outside lights in addition to air coming into the room from outside.»

«The whole place was very clean and well kept, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great, and was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable, and lived the shower!!! Highly recommended!!»

«WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE! DO NOT BOOK HERE! Ironically, the most expensive hotel on our entire trip turned out to be the worst.     1    Terrible soundproofing. You can hear everything—TVs, air conditioners, and conversations from neighboring rooms.     2    Unreasonable management. We heard a baby crying next door and requested a room change before even using the room. The front desk staff was very helpful and confirmed rooms were available, but the manager refused simply because we booked ...

«Clean room, nice balcony view, breakfast was fine. Room was not ready at check-in and our room was a little pricey.»

«Clean, older motel with a great view and nice staff. View was outstanding! Also, compared to other hotels in area the price was pretty good. Breakfast was bare bones and the bathroom was clean but very small. Room set-up was kind of odd (2 rooms with 2 Q beds), but had to walk thru the 2nd bedroom to get to the bathroom. Definitely needs some modernization..plugs for computer/phone charging non-existant.»

«Worked out Great would stay there Again»

«Loved the Roan inn. Just what you would expect of a hotel in the UP. Bed was super comfortable, got the best sleep and the restaurant was classy and good. Loved the common area where they served breakfast and also had coffee throughout the day. Would definitely stay again.»

«Unique buildings with modern style, all the amenities, and cozy furnishings. Probably the best accommodations we've experienced. So helpful to have laundry, fridge, and microwave in the unit. Staff was responsive via text to answer all our questions. Convenient location. We will definitely stay here again!»

«This place was perfect for what we needed. Did need a few updates, but still clean and comfortable.»
