The property was excellent. The one that checked us in was very nice, friendly and knows the area. We talked to him later in the day and asked about the area and all the closures and Covid was the reason. Everything was fantastic at the property.

I understand that they are under construction, but you still can vacuum the hallway and stairs. There was no elevator to second floor. Probably won't stay there again.

we always stay at HI Express. Thought we would try Microtel. Advertised Hot Breakfast. In my mind that should mean Eggs and Meat items. Not Waffles and Oatmeal. We're on low carb and low sugar. diets. Yogurt brand was terrible and could not eat the waffles and poor quality donuts. Desk clerk didn't care either. I will contest room rate with my credit card company.

The remodeled property features beds that sound like empty 10 gallon drums, excessively bright halogen lights in the rooms and tiny side tables with clocks that cannot be re-set. It’s absolutely horrible. We won’t ever stay there again. Who the heck redesigned this, a bunch of minimalists?

The property is undergoing renovation and many of the rooms are complete. Our room was very clean and quiet, even though it is a pet friendly facility. Breakfast is on the house, but only two GF options yogurt or apple. We will definitely stay again.

There is nothing good to share about our stay, I waited for over ten minutes for someone to check me in, I had to go knock on a staff only door to let her know I was even there. There was no elevator my 70 year old wife and I had to hand carry our luggage up two flights of stairs. When I first entered my room I had to use one of the rest room towels to clean the floors in the bathroom and the bedroom!! There was very little sleep, we heard slamming doors repeatedly, kids screaming and conversations from other customers all the way up to 12:00 mid-night, no one came upstairs to see what was going on!! The complimentary breakfast was a joke, I spent way too much much money for this type of poor cleanliness and poor customer service, someone should repay me for whole amount of my stay of one night!! I will never return to this hotel or any other Microtel locations!! I will also let everyone I know to not even think about staying at Microtel!!

We paid top dollar, in my mind ( $170) for a room that should have cost under one hundred. Needed maintenance in the bathroom but it was clean. Poor morning choices for food, and again for the cost of the stay I expected more.

We were very disappointed with the complimentary breakfast. The only hot item offered was waffles (make them yourself). Waffles, that’s it. We travelled through five states in 5 days, and this was by far the worst breakfast.

Cleanliness hit or miss, uncomfortable bed
My first room wasn’t clean. The bathroom had debris and dirt on the floor and bodily fluids in the walls. It also shared a door with really, really loud people next door. The very kind front desk associate let me change rooms. The new room smelled of fresh paint and was, generally, cleaner. However, the bed and pillows were the least comfortable I’d ever experienced in my life. I ended up not sleeping a wink and just decided to hit the road at 5 am. Rough night overall.

The heater was so dirty it would not put out enough heat to warm the room. The vending machines didn’t even work. The room latch was broken off. Only 3 tv channels worked. The staff was very pleasant.

This hotel was conveniently located for my road trip and was reasonably priced. The building was said to be undergoing a remodel and seemed under-staffed. The air unit in my room rattled all night and the surfaces were not clean. The bed served the purpose needed, I just have higher standards for cleanliness and quiet.

Free breakfast had no eggs, bacon or sausage. Just oatmeal, toast, pancakes, waffles, yogurt. The room was cold. No extra blankets. The minu fridge buzzed all night long. Only slept a couple of hours.Checkin guy made sure i knew that i didnt sign up for pets. (We had no pets.) Room was very small, but clean.

The heaters here are frustrating. They only stay on for a few minutes at a time. We switched rooms and the new room didn't smell terrible like the first one but the heaters were the same. Staff was great but the rooms need some work in my opinion.

For being under remodeling state, the rooms were on first floor were fine. But I would get rid of all the mirrors in old rooms. The night check-in was pleasant and did a good job of explaining the upgrades taking place.

Air conditioner sounded like an airplane!
Had stayed several years ago and it was pleasant. This time, there was no fridge as advertised. The heat/air conditioner rattled noisily all night. The soap bar was miniscule and rough. Workers were up early remodeling. We won't stay again. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and pleasant.
