First of all at check-in, I was told that I had to put a card on file to hold an authorization fee, in the event that something was damaged with the room. I then asked when my card be charged right now and I was told no, well that was a lie from the beginning because the money was deducted from my card immediately.The first room I got was musty smelling( smelled to bad that my kids asked me what kind of hotel did I book us to stay at. Smelled so bad I smelled all pillow cases &covers on the bed to find where the smell was coming from. The tv didn’t work, it was blinking on & off, so I turned it off & turned it back on, still didn’t work. Some of the furniture was old, with the problems had 2move to a different room which was a down grade. I went from double queen beds to a single king bed. The toilet in the room would flush sometimes, & sometimes it wouldn’t would flush. The refrigerator was set on the coldest temperature, yet nothing I put inside got cold. The ice machine on my floor didn’t work, had to go to the floor above to get ice, which was a total inconvenience when the elevators are ridiculously slow. The rooms quality overall was not the best. I’m very disappointed in the quality of the Marriot, these hotels used to great but I have completely fell off. Sad because when you walk into the lobby of the hotel, it looks great, smells great, a very well kept lobby, very attractive appearance, so you think that your room is going to be just as great and definitely wasn’t.
