The property advertises a pool, but in reality it resembled a very small, stagnant pond. The water appeared murky and poorly maintained, and it did not look hygienic or safe to enter.
Unfortunately, we were unable to have breakfast. We were approximately ten minutes late, at which point the hotel’s only staff member knocked very forcefully on our door and called us, stating that his job was finished and that there would be no breakfast if we did not come out immediately. So we didn't have breakfast because we were trying to pack and leave as quickly as possible. (Afterwards, when reading other guest reviews, it appeared we may not have missed much. Several reviewers reported that the breakfast items were stale and poorly maintained, with some mentioning signs of inadequate hygiene.) Although we had booked two nights, we were prepared to pay the full amount simply to get out of the property earlier because the stay turned out to be extremely unpleasant and disappointing.
During the night I became quite ill. The room was very cold, and the air-conditioning unit did not help regulate the temperature. Given the apparent lack of maintenance, it seemed possible that the unit itself contributed to how sick I felt. The environment had a musty, humid quality, and I became quite ill during the night. In a setting where HVAC systems are not properly cleaned, issues such as mold or microbial buildup can occur, which may explain how uncomfortable the room felt.
