«This is an average motel close to Foxwood's with a fair price. We made last minute plans over Memorial Day Weekend so everywhere was pretty much sold out. The Hilltop Inn and Suites meet our needs for a place to stay over for one evening. It was very clean as other reviewers have reported. And we saved money.»

«The staff were very kind, however the property is in need of both cleaning and updates. Our shower had mold on the ceiling and the curtain liner, the jacuzzi tub needed to be cleaned, and the room definitely had a very strong odor. We were only able to get a smoking room and the scent was extremely evident, to the point where it affected sleep and made my clothes smell that I didn't even wear. «We absolutely love this property and we have stayed here many times. We have stayed in many of the cottages, and on the houseboat (which was a wonderful experience), but our favorite is the Bluffs first floor. The property is pristine, the cottages are modern, clean, warm and welcoming. It is so peaceful to look out at the water and forget about the craziness of life. You won’t be disappointed!»

«It was just perfect! I only have one complaint, I rented this particular room with a door opening outside on the porch to be able to smoke. They still wouldn't allow any smoking outside your door. Unfortunately it rained out entire stay with no where dry to smoke. I understand , but for us smokers it wasn't pleasant. But it is very clean and well maintained with a lot of nice amenities!»

«A piece of Heaven right here at the 1661 Inn. All staff were helpful, polite and very pleasant. Everything you can imagine for breakfast, and it was all delicious. «The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. «Kidding me?? Woke up to screaming seagulls at 5am going through next doors property’s dumpsters right outside our rooms backyard. And two chairs to sit on if we wanted to watch with weeds also. Obviously this hotels manager knows about this and doesn’t give a crap about seagulls waking up travelers at 5 am and then he called me “ boss” instead of “ SiR”. What a dump!!! Heavy pool chlorine smell. And when you turn on bathroom light a loud fan comes on automatically. Otherwise…. Bed, ...

«This was a great overnight Inn. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only down side was we weren't able to use the fire place after a chilly rain, but staff did get us a few more blankets.»
