«The staff were very kind, however the property is in need of both cleaning and updates. Our shower had mold on the ceiling and the curtain liner, the jacuzzi tub needed to be cleaned, and the room definitely had a very strong odor. We were only able to get a smoking room and the scent was extremely evident, to the point where it affected sleep and made my clothes smell that I didn't even wear. «The man at the front desk just handed me a key. He did not say anything about the breakfast, gym or dock on the salt pond. Another guest told us about the breakfast. It was the May long weekend and neither the pool or hot tub were open. Or maybe they were open but I couldn’t understand the man cleaning the pool! The pool is not heated and hot tub was cold. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a bar fridge and microwave but no coffee maker . The bathroom was dated with poor ...

«We absolutely love this property and we have stayed here many times. We have stayed in many of the cottages, and on the houseboat (which was a wonderful experience), but our favorite is the Bluffs first floor. The property is pristine, the cottages are modern, clean, warm and welcoming. It is so peaceful to look out at the water and forget about the craziness of life. You won’t be disappointed!»

«It was just perfect! I only have one complaint, I rented this particular room with a door opening outside on the porch to be able to smoke. They still wouldn't allow any smoking outside your door. Unfortunately it rained out entire stay with no where dry to smoke. I understand , but for us smokers it wasn't pleasant. But it is very clean and well maintained with a lot of nice amenities!»

«A piece of Heaven right here at the 1661 Inn. All staff were helpful, polite and very pleasant. Everything you can imagine for breakfast, and it was all delicious. The view from the deck off of our room was breathtaking. Our champagne and cookies were waiting for us which was a great way to start off our fun time on the Island. »

«The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. «Very convenient location. I was actually surprised how impeccably neat and clean the room was after walking through a rather shabby entrance door and the hallway. But the room of course is the more important. Good air conditioning, good shower. Fridge is basic and very small + watch out for the preset T - it was set too low (as for the freezer), which froze all my veggies that I put in it.»

«This was a great overnight Inn. The staff was super nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Only down side was we weren't able to use the fire place after a chilly rain, but staff did get us a few more blankets.»
