Overall a great place. Food in the restaurants was above average for an all inclusive. Buffet was just average. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Well kept grounds and clean. Restaurants were not really air conditioned. I never left dinner without sweaty clothes. Need to work on ac. Hard to enjoy meals when it is hot. Pool bars do not have good liquor. Only low shelf local stuff. Rooms are comfortable but not suites. Hard to keep cool .. Not enough shade at main pool. Need more umbrellas. They show a teen club , which should be advertised as a sports center. It has tennis , archery, basketball, billiards , batting cage, games. We went there every day and never anyone else there. They make it hard to get to but it could be easily changed to be more accessible. Overall a good place. Not a party place but entertainment nightly that was enjoyable

Jewel is a nice all-inclusive resort with activities around the clock. The staff is very nice and friendly. The food, although not traditional Dominican food is good. Tried to find a traditional Dominican place outside of the resort but the area away from the beach doesn’t look safe. As long as you stay close to the beach you should be fine. Annoying salesmen flood the beach’s but Jewel’s security keeps them away from the guests sitting in the beach chairs. Once you hit the sand it’s open game and they will annoy you. The room was nice but the ceiling fan was stuck on high with a broken switch so it couldn’t be turned off. We enjoyed our stay and no major complaints at all.

We just returned from a long weekend and have discussed going back in a few months. The grounds were beautifully kept, pools were clean, we had some delicious meals at the restaurants, enjoyed the beach view even though there was seaweed, staff was top notch. Could the rooms be updated, sure but they were clean and comfortable.

The people were very nice! The VIP benefit for the spa was the best. We were eligible for late check out up to two hours as VIP but the place could only give us 30 minutes because of availability. There were multiple rain storms while we were there so it was hard to find out about any scheduled activity changes. Pool and ocean were great. People will come up to you a bunch on the beach to sell you things. Food was hit or miss. The mexican place was great, hibaci was fun and tasted good, but the grill and Italian restaurants were not. The buffet was pretty good and the staff were fast cooking your "made to order" dishes. Overall, if you're looking for chill and quiet, this is it.

La ubicacion y las playas son espectaculares. El servicio al cliente y la atencion al turismo es realmente fenomenal. Primera vez que llego a un lugar donde se preocupan por cada detalle y te bri dan la mejor atencion. La comida es realmente espectacular en todos los restaurantes y el buffet tiene una gran variedad de me u para poder escoger lo que uno guste. Las playas estaban co.pmetamente limpias y con buen mantenimiento. Uno de los mejores hoteles que he visitado alrededor del mu do. Con seguridad regresaria a hospedarme a este hotel.

Service staff in restaurants and at the bar treated some different from others on what appeared to be skin color or race unfortunately. Housekeeping and service staff around the pool were excellent! We had to moved from our rooms because the AC units did not work and the rooms smelled of mold. Property needs some TLC.

This place was insanely beautiful! Perfect size property, well kept and easy to get around. The people were so kind, the food was fabulous, the daily and nightly entertainment and activities were a blast, the beach was a dream. I honestly just kept thinking this place is the happiest place on Earth. The only opportunity for improvement would be a couple minor needed repairs in the hotel room. I will come back here as often as I can manage!

Overall me and my family had a very nice time but there were a few things i did not like. When we arrived the reservation agent talked us into upgrading to a "family suite" which was not a family suite since it only had one bed. They had to put 2 twin beds in the living room. There was no dresser to put our clothes in. The tv's didn't work correctly. In the bathroom the shower door didn't close properly and they tried to patch the side walls of the shower and did a terrible job. They charged me $800 more for the suite and it definitely was not worth it. The food was average - the Italian restaurant was terrible. When my food arrived it was definitely not Italian food and it was cold. We just walked out. The buffet was ok but nothing spectacular. I stood at many other hotels in Punta Cana and the food was much better. The staff at the resort was absolutely wonderful. Daniela and Christian at the Buffet were lovely people and made my family feel special. They keep the resort spotless. Always cleaning and our maid for the room was a lovely woman. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. When I go to the same island a number of times I try different hotels, but I would not recommend this one. I should have just stayed in the room i originally chose because the $800 I spent extra was a waste of my money.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jewel Palm Beach! Firstly, the dining options were exceptional, with a variety of options to choose from. Despite the restaurants not accepting reservations, the longest wait we encountered was about 10 minutes. The beach area was nice, and the staff made every effort to clear seaweed along the beach daily. Plus, if you walk 5-10 minutes down the beach, you’ll find beautiful white sandy beaches. We also appreciated the resort's close proximity to Punta Cana airport (about 20-minutes). We booked a private transfer to the resort as there didn’t seem to be a shuttle to the resort from the airport. Given the resort’s small size, everything—pools, restaurants, and beach—was conveniently within walking distance. While we didn't explore the casino or disco, the daytime poolside activities were fun! We recommend upgrading to the club level; the club restaurant surpassed our expectations, and there is an exclusive pool and beach areas for club members. If there's an area for improvement, it would be the room accommodations. Although it appeared that renovations were underway during our visit, we stayed in a club tropical deluxe (king) room that, while nice, could benefit from a bathroom upgrade. While some rooms in our hallway experienced leaks during a rainstorm, fortunately, ours was not affected. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Hermoso lugar, tranquilo, áreas verdes muy bien cuidadas. Todo cerca. Buenos restaurantes. El personal excelente. Las habitaciones necesitan más cariño. El buffet es un poco limitado. Necesitan trabajar las actividades nocturnas. La discoteca no tiene música latina. La barra de la piscina y playa no cuenta con las mismas bebidas que el lobby. Es flojo en las bebidas.

The resort itself is ok, small and a bit outdated. They don’t offer transportation to pick you up from airport. The rooms were basic but no door to separate the shower area from the rest of the room, there was a door to separate the toilet. The house keeping was poor and they would not always replace towels and bath gels etc. a few times we needed to request towel and stop them in the hall for supplies. They basically just made the beds, the room smelt of cigarette smoke when the AC ran. There are no elevator, which meant terrible seeing the buildings are only three levels. The drinks are about as cheap as the get when it comes to alcohol content, no wrist bands so be prepared to so ID. The gym had extremely old equipment, broken, rickety, and rusted!! The food was pretty bad the specialty restaurants were absolutely terrible with the exception of hibachi!! The buffet was not great, offered the same food pretty much everyday and no Dominican dishes. There used to be no night life entertainment. Mediocre nightly show or karaoke. The beach they allow vendors on property and they harass you all day long!!!! Good amount of seaweed!!! The beach chairs were basically all broken!!! some of the workers are rude and laughed in our faces!! At the buffet I seen many ladies walking around with cover ups but I was told I couldn’t go in with one also t was told I need to put a shirt over my half shirt/sport bra like top but another person with me went in at the same time wearing a strap

Beach was wonderful; kept clean. All restaurants fabulous. Pools were thoughtfully designed. Water, soda and beer left in room refrigerators daily. When it rained hard the hallways flooded; we thought the floors should be mopped sooner. Warm water was hit and miss. Would have liked hair conditioner and makeup remover pads in rooms. Despite these few things will definitely be back.

Great place, beautiful clean and unbelievable staff!!! Great service at all times. Excellent dining areas, several choices from buffet style to French, Italian, Mexican and Asian. Beach area beautiful and clean same as the pool. Only two things. Need Little update inside the rooms like closets and dresser. Handrail from the stairs too. The next one, is outside the property, walking in the beach, there is an area next to the resorts (because next to Jewel is another one) it was several bags of garbage that really was very sad to see because, the resort area was so beautiful and clean but just a few steps away from it, it was another story. I know this is not responsibility to the resorts but will be amazing to know, the resorts care about their surroundings.

The bell staff left our bags sitting outside for over five hours. We had to carry bags of things we didn’t want stolen on the beach. Went to beach for five hour before we could check in. Bugs in the sink both dead and alive bugs in the sink and bathroom, toilet did not flush right, lights in the room very dim, the next morning the main light did not work at all. Bed hard, sheets felt sandy, pillows are probably from the 70’s. Only here for one day because flight changed not sure about amenities. Waiter on the beach was friendly, person cooking food on beach was also nice, the bellman that took our bags to the room was nice. People at the front desk were rude!

Despite of being and old building, most of the areas specially the outside areas are beautifully maintained. The lobby is nice and elegant, the gardens are awesome, the pools are immaculate, the rooms although old are extremely clean, the furniture needs some updating.

This property has nothing to visit on the outside surrounding area of the property. The food menu was very limited. there was an expensive extra cost if you had a taste for lobster etc. Any extra services were very expensive, massages or day overpriced) ( Buffet was low key. You would think as a Caribbean Island you would get some fruit blended drinks=nope. The bars didn't even have basic bananas to blend. Drinks were limited and water down. If you have any walking disabilities, you wouldn't be able to get to 2nd FL restaurants. The positive to this property: the grounds were clean and well kept.

We upgraded to the honeymoon suite. The view of the beach and the ocean was stunning. The room lost its charm when we could not get away from the loud music from loudspeakers at the pools right in the Center of all the rooms. The music started up every morning at 10 am and it didn’t stop until after dark. There was no peace and relaxing even with the windows closed. There were guest in their older years as well as children that I’m sure did not appreciate the non stop music that we couldn’t get away from. We would go to swim or sun on the beach and we were bombarded with people selling excursions and massages, cigars and hair braiding. It was to a point that one was trying to sell us some thing and two more were waiting to try right behind them. Every day they would try. It’s a nice location but there wasn’t much relaxing. One other issue I had was that there was no real juice. All powdered sugar mix for the cocktails and breakfast had the same orange powder water. I thought it was a renovated resort but it is in need of renovations to stop water leaking from the ceiling in the rooms and the hallway. The pools were very nice. Looks like they were in good condition.

I think we were supposed to have a room facing the beach, but didn’t. Overall it was nice but it was difficult enjoying the beach with ppl constantly trying to sell stuff. An ATM that dispenses US currency would be helpful since that is preferred there. The room was clean and the staff were nice.

The beach sand is great quality. The food is good except Japan restaurant. Coral restaurant's staff are kind and gentle. But the Sales people of beach are scary. They threatened me to buy activities. Why are they angry at me?. I just walk on the beach. The staff of towel counter always yelled me to buy parashute activity. I just need to enjoy relax. Some staff requested money for a tip. Of course I gave money to him. I hope hospitality business need smile in heart. some good , some bad.

The staff was fantastic! The coffee is excellent. The upgrade to a honeymoon suite was very appreciated. Had an issue with the A/C. It was obnoxiously loud. Despite several calls to maintenance, the issue was never resolved. Overall the property is a bit dated and needs an nice overhaul:
