We booked this last minute and did not know much about the hotel or the facilities, other than what was on Expedia. Our flight was late and we got in late to the resort. Being upgraded to the Family Select area was a nice welcome and as our 5-day stay progressed, we realized how much of a bonus this actually was. Access to Rafael, the butler, was amazing. He was able to book us better times for each of our dinners than we were able to get on our own. He also managed to get my wife a massage when the Spa was booked up. Each day he checked in on us and was very attentive. The Family Selection rooms are each part of an 8 room/apartment Villa. They are modern and spacious and set in well-kept grounds. The family select area also has its own pool with a bar and plenty of loungers and cabannas. There were always free ones, no matter what time you went. At the other pools, and the beach, loungers get taken very early. The food was good and plentiful, both buffets and a la carte restaurants. The only disappointment was La Lola, the Spanish restaurant. Service was slow and the food was not very good, which was a shame, especially as the hotel chain is Spanish-owned. The beach is great and good for swimming. Our snorkelling excursion (from Bolin Dive, the company that is based on the beach in front of the hotel) was well run and great fun. There are also tennis courts, basketball courts, and a large turf soccer field that we played on. We would definitely go again.
