The resort was about what you would expect given the lower cost compared to many other resorts. The entire place is outdated and many of the photos come from the Adults Only (slightly updated) property. The rooms need a refresh. I am sure Hyatt has plans to accomplish this with their recent heavy investment in Bahia. Our A/C barely worked. We had to sleep with the windows open every night so that we would not over heat. Food was very alright. I’ve been to several resorts with significantly better food. Never got sick which is actually an accomplishment for many resorts tbh, but nothing was outstanding. The beach was pretty nice but the water does have jelly fish. We walked further along the beach, away from the resort, and saw dozens that had washed ashore, although the resort does do their best to limit this in their section. The pool is pretty solid, but it can be quite loud for periods of the day, with music blasting. The service overall was pretty solid at the restaurants, buffets, drink bars, service desk, maids, etc. However, I will definitely be spending more money next trip to go somewhere a bit more luxurious and modern.
