You almost won't need the rest of this incredible home after stepping onto one of Sonrisa de Gallo’s many balconies and experiencing views that rival or best some of Vallarta’s best known locations.

You will enjoy nearly 360 degree views from the Sierras to the sea. One can picture the early travelers to the city penning the maps to the small fishing village to what would become today’s Vallarta from this very location. Very comfortable place with a beautiful view.

We enjoyed this clean condo with great kitchen / dining spaces that has an easy 1 flight stair access to a lovely rooftop pool. However, our Mexican cab drivers found the directions provided to condo not useful, both drivers had to call the house keeper for clarification. Also, you need to be strong to climb a seriously BIG hill and 4 flights of stairs before you can enter this condo. We found carrying luggage / groceries up to condo after a day of traveling quite challenging.

Amazing location

We arrived the day after a category 4 hurricane hit PV, and John (the host) was super accommodating. He switched us places so that we’d at least have power and water. He was very communicative, and super super nice! The place was gorgeous, the view incredible, and it was quiet and clean. It is in the hilly area, so if you’re not keen on a little exercise or have mobility issues it might be a bit of a challenge as cars sometimes wouldn’t take us back up the hill in the rain. All in all we had a great time and would love to come back! Thanks again John!

Beautiful views + wonderful amenities... but bring some ear plugs!

Those roosters are no joke. If you are a light sleeper, prepare yourself. They start cocka-doodle-dooing around 1am. And it doesn't stop until past sunrise. Also, there is construction happening during the day -- all day -- on three different sides of the unit. The unit itself, however, is beautiful. Great kitchen. Bedrooms are comfortable. The sundeck and dipping pool are fantastic amenities. We were out and about most of the time, so we didn't get to enjoy the unit as much as we would have liked. But when we were there, we had to deal with the noise of jackhammers and roosters -- so maybe being out on the town wasn't so bad. Manager was responsive and really cool. The other guests in the other units were lovely. It was a week in paradise and we loved it... in spite of the noise.

Lovely, spacious property in a great location!

This was the perfect spot for 3 adults and 2 young children. There was ample space - with a large, well equipped kitchen and 3 bedrooms. Incredible views, and a very manageable walk into town. It's close enough to town, while still being nice and quiet. As others have mentioned, the hills are steep and it's a couple of flights up to the apartment. So be mindful if you are traveling with small children or folks with limited mobility, and take advantage of the affordable Ubers all around town. Check-in and out was totally seamless. John is wonderful - he is super responsive and is a great source of knowledge for questions even unrelated to the apartment (like finding the nearest facility for Covid-testing for travel back to the US). The management company is overall very responsible, they ensure all the folks that they contract with for cleaning & maintenance are vaccinated for Covid. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful Hilltop Residence

Our group of five thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Sonrisa de Gallo. A beautiful and spacious property (even moreso than what is seen in the pictures) with everything we needed in a rental property for our stay. And the view: pretty much unbeatable. We loved enjoying our morning coffee and breakfast sitting out on our balcony during the cool morning hours, and having a relaxing day lounging by the rooftop pool. For those considering a stay, definitely be advised that a very large hill is the obstacle to be overcome for the stellar views (as many other reviews mentioned). Our group did have quite a bit of fun counting the steps up and down however, and were entertained by the neighbouring dogs in the process. The elevation also probably helped us stay at least a little bit in shape during our week-long visit. John was excellent to communicate with leading up to our vacation, and all of the arrival instructions were very clear and helpful. Check in was seamless. Our only minor suggestion would be to have a third set of keys available to guests, as it would have made things a bit easier for our group when we decided to split up on occasion. Otherwise, a fantastic stay that met and exceeded all of the advertised expectations. Thanks for hosting us!

Awesome views of Puerto Vallarta!

Beautiful condo with amazing views from the roof-top pool as well as from every window. The layout is perfect for two couples and the kitchen is one of the best we’ve seen. Every gadget and utensil needed for cooking is provided. The full-size washer and dryer is great for guests who stay longer. The only significant negative is the hill to climb to reach the condo. It’s a real work out. However, cabs are everywhere and inexpensive. There is also a set of steps if you did want a bit of exercise. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Malecon and dozens of great restaurants and bars. Contact with the host was outstanding. They were very responsive to any queries. Overall, a great condo. I would highly recommend this rental.

Best Views in PV

The place feels like a home. 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. An enormous kitchen open to living room and dining room. And it all comes with the spectacular view. Seriously is the best view in PV and I've been coming for over 20 years. Balconies off of every room, but you don't have to go outside to enjoy the views. Windows and glass doors everywhere! Then there is the view from the roof. Equally breath taking, but you can view while grilling outside on the rooftop terrace or swimming in the rooftop pool.

Amazing condo overlooking Old Town.

Perfect location. Very spacious and well-maintained condo. Quiet location overlooking the entire town. Location is difficult to find -- make sure that you have detailed directions for any taxi/uber driver when you first arrive in PV.

Very Nice Place

You can't beat the views from this clean modern condo. With those views comes a walk up a hill or a path with steps. I enjoyed the exercise, but probably isn't for everyone. The place is very nice, the pool was just the right size for our group (6). The property manager is pleasant and everything went smoothly. I'd recommend and stay here again. The location is close to the old downtown area. There are amazing shrimp and carne asada tacos nearby, what more do you need? Oh, the walk to the beach is quick!
