4/10 – Dårlig

When I arrived, the hotel was repairing a sewage water pipeline and all water was cut off until late in the evening. I was staying at the hotel for business, but the internet speed in the room was below 1 Mbs (often in the kilobits range) and at times disappeared entirely. It was virtually impossible to just get emails and work-related activities done. The manager excused the issue, stating that recent rainfall had affected the line.
On the first day, there was no hot water in the shower. On the second day, hot water came and went every 30 seconds or so, with cold water running most of the time. Many of the shower head holes were clogged, which furthermore did not help with the experience - a basic maintenance issue.
While my room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the desk was minuscule, and the carpet old and stained from use.
On the first day, the continental breakfast was not ready until 7:45 AM, which was when I had to leave for work, so I did not get to have breakfast that day.
It is not the hotel's fault, but the beach photo is deceptive. First up, the beach is a short walk away. There is a dirty little canal with water runoff that flows right into the beach area. Even if you dared to enter the water despite possible pollution, when the ocean is not as calm as in the hotel picture, there are dangerous rip currents and waves that make getting into the water totally unsafe.
