One of a kind cozy loft cottage with boat ramp and a magnificent view.

Take in a spectacular view perched on an elevated deck overlooking the water. We think you’ll appreciate the alluring ambiance of this quaint, well appointed cottage that has a lot of character. Sleep in a comfortable queen sized bed in the loft while a sofa bed is available in the main living area. Enjoy the comfort of a screened porch that’s designed to be “the best room in the house”! Bring your boat and use our ramp to put it in and dock it. You’ll have access to both electricity and water from the dock. The dock and the elevated deck are equipped with tables with umbrellas and cushioned chairs to provide you with comfort and all you need to settle in and enjoy the pleasures of being on a dock on a lake! Please note that we have 2 well behaved and adorable male Pomeranians that will be on the premise and that we will respect your willingness to interact with them or not.

Wow! This cottage is so beautiful!! Patti and Stan have thought of anything and everything you could possibly need during your stay. The sunrise on the lake, lunch on the dock, green light dock at night made this trip memorable for sure!! The cottage was also very clean and inviting upon arrival. Definitely hope to visit again!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. The hosts always provide everything we need in this precious, cozy cottage on the lake. This was our 4th time there! The hosts could not be more gracious. The boat ramp and dock are wonderful. Each time we leave there, we start making plans to go again!

The best!!!! We loved this place the moment we pulled up and Stan came out to greet us. My husband and I were ending our honeymoon on Lake Murray because he was fishing in a tournament. He won, by the way! Even without that though, we’d have been so happy right there. The decor is so much fun. We had everything that we needed including a dock to fish where I caught my largest bass! We highly recommend this house, this lake and these hosts!!

Absolutely loved every moment we spent there. The cottage is beautifully decorated. It is so quaint and comfortable. The lake is clear and clean for swimming or boating. Such a relaxing atmosphere . We enjoyed fishing off the dock. Patti and Stan are wonderful and make you feel right at home. We will definitely go back to stay again. Thank you for a wonderful experience .

Amazing Location

My husband and I absolutely loved this property. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked and there's a smart tv in the living room. The location cannot be beat - right on the lake with a boat launch on the property. We were able to keep our boat in the lake for the length of our stay. Patti and Stan were wonderful hosts and we cannot wait to come back in the fall!

Our stay at Sewanee Cottage on Lake Murray was absolutely perfect! The views, lake, amenities, etc. were beyond amazing…the photos don’t even compare to the experience. We look forward to our return!

Such a wonderful place

This was our 3rd time staying at this cottage. It’s always so clean. Everything you need is there. The lake view is beautiful! The big screened in porch is where we spent a lot of time. The boat dock is perfect. I can’t even begin to tell you how great the hosts are. We will be back in the fall.

decompression paradise!

booked this for a long weekend for myself and my sister. Patti and Stan are so friendly and quick to answer any and all questions about the area. Access directly into the water and wonderful floating dock. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so very home-y. Everything from the rose art in toilet paper to the twinkling lights around the top tier decking to the fragrance when you walk in will make you never want to leave! Highly recommend and we will be back!

Laid back at the lake

Came down for a fishing tournament for our son and had a wonderful relaxing time. House had everything we needed to unplug and take a short break. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. Thanks to Stan for getting the broken coffee pot replaced. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous getaway!

Thank you both for hosting us with such a beautiful weekend getaway! The cabin is so very charming. From decor to anything you could need (or may have forgotten), even the smallest details were well thought out. Access to the lake was super easy. We will definitely be staying here again! The Essentials for a Great Stay

This quaint and cozy cottage is exactly as advertised. Sometimes, booking through these platforms can leave you a bit uneasy about the condition/location of a property until you get there. Well, I was extremely pleased with our stay! This trip was part of a surprise birthday getaway for my darling husband. It was a moment to pull him away from the city to enjoy peace and quiet. He enjoys fishing, so the convenience of the boat dock and lake right off the yard was a plus. And even though the weather was not conducive to fully enjoying the deck or fishing, we have zero complaints. It rained a couple of times during the weekend f or stay. But the covered porch, portable heater, and lounge furniture made watching the rain over the lake therapeutic.Stan met us upon arrival to greet us and offered assistance with anything we may have needed during our stay. They did not bother us at all, even though they live right next door. We chatted in passing periodically but my husband and I were able to enjoy their beautiful space seemingly exclusively. I even appreciated the thoughtful refreshments water, coffee and creamer upon arrival. The loft is super cute but caution...it is a loft for a reason, lol. I am about 5'8 and I was able to stand straight in the tallest portion of the loft area. However, this wasn't the case for my husband. So, if you are on the taller side, be mindful of how you are moving around up there. Stan/Patti, thanks for everything :)

Felt like a healing retreat <3

I had such a beautiful stay at this lovely cottage. It's so homey and warm, the view of the lake is amazing! Between the amenities, the large Windows pouring in light and the beautiful decor, you can tell that so much Thoughtfulness and love was put into this home. I was lucky enough to meet the neighbors and they are amazing salt of the earth people! Definitely coming back! 10 out of 10 stay! ❤️
