A beautiful, well appointed Condominium

This was a very lovely, convenient place to stay. Parking, free!! 3 very comfortable beds with well appointed baths. Lots of plates, glasses, silverware, pots and pans. Beach towels!! Also, the patio was a great place to spends mornings with coffee (provided), and evenings with a glass of wine. It’s a very safe, secure area. I highly recommend this rental!

Clean and Spacious

Very nice home in a nice area with active adults. Grocery store close by and the pool/hot tub/grill area was a very short walk away. We appreciated the variety of condiments in the kitchen/fridge and this place had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the deck each morning.

Wonderful Kauai

The property is as described. The lanai was the best part! Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you need, had water toys, beach toys, cooler and chairs we took to the beach each day. Place was clean and management was very responsive and helpful. Walking path along the golf course was beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Kauai Condo

Surrounding neighborhood and area is beautiful. The residence was very clean and updated. Kitchen was well stocked with all essential utensils, pans, etc. The airconditioning was quiet (important) and effective. Mattresses were excellent. We stayed for six nights.

Princeville Paradise

We were so happy to stay here and everything from booking to communication to cleanliness and accuracy was 100% accurate. We loved the area, the additional amenities and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone! AC for those extra humid days was an added bonus!

Love The Plantations

The Plantations are my favorite spot to stay. I've stayed at 4 or 5 other Plantation homes over the years. We love the area because of the convenience and walking distance to some of our favorite hikes on the island. Some great spots to snorkel and Hanalei is close by and one of the best beaches for building sandcastles I left a few Home Depot buckets that I hope they will save for my return trip next year, the bottoms are cut out and are great for building big sandcastles. Love the second floor with the lanai. Nice chars to relax in great corner unit with good views with the sunrise. Our on-island host Meredith was great and got us two new boogie boards when we let her know the others in the garage where snaped in half. The kitchen was well stocked the only thing we needed that it did not have was a potato peeler. The only other critical feedback I would have is one of the box fans did not work a few light bulbs were burnt out and the bed in the bedroom over the garage was not the best. After the first few nights my wife and I notice our hips being sore and at first, I wondered if it was the hikes we were doing but that was not it. Luckly, I had brought two camping air beds and put them under the sheet and that helped but if I had not had then I would have had to sleep on the couch. They did have two new bikes in the garage that we just ran out of time to ride a few sand toys etc and a few coolers for food and drinks. Liked having the cart to pull the beach stuff.

Nostalgic

I had a small, short term role during the construction process 19-years ago. It was nice to return and see the finished product. The architecture and layout of the unit and common area, are timeless (IMO). The exterior has been well kept and maintained. The landscaping and common areas are tidy and clean.

Spacious, comfortable unit but lots of street noise

The unit was well furnished and comfortable. There were sufficient supplies in the kitchen other than zero condiments (no salt and pepper which I often find available at rental homes). Check in process was easy and well communicated by the property management company. The unit is perfectly located in Princeville and great for visitors needing a place to rest in between daily excursions; due to the constant street noise, relaxing in the unit with the windows open or on the lanai isn't a good idea (unless you don't mind traffic noise, which surprisingly occurred all hours of the day). My only other minor complaint was the lighting - all of the lights were LED bright white; soft white makes the evenings much more subtle and home-like. Overall pleased with this rental.

Good place for a family.

The condo was great for our group, two adult couples and two teens. The bed situation in the third room could be better, the trundle was not the best. Some of the appliances in the unit are past their prime and it would be nice to see those updated. We struggled with the dryer and had to get the island manager to get it fixed. The microwave also quit and that is a problem when you are paying for such things to save money on an already expensive vacation. I give Jaymi a big shout out for staying after it and getting things done, but dealing with broken appliances is not part of the Hawaii experience we were looking for. The amenities were good, nice pool, never went in the clubhouse. The bbq grills at the pool could be a little better maintained. All that said, if we traveled with a similar group again we would consider this unit a good option.

Beautiful and spacious condo

We really enjoyed our stay in the condo. We had so much room to spread out and relax. The large lanai was wonderful to sit and have coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine in the evenings. The beds were cozy and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. We loved it and would stay there again. Only setback was the clothes dryer wasn’t Working. I had a difficult time contacting management to report it and they were slow to respond to fix it. But it was over a holiday, so they were probably short staffed that week, which is understandable. Otherwise, the house was well equipped with everything we needed!

Wonderful Family Vacation

The condo was wonderful. The street noise was not bad but we live on a busy street so we are use to noise. The air conditioning did not work but we slept with the windows open and it was fine.

Get away

What a wonderful vacation even tho the weather didn’t cooperate. We didn’t care because the lanai was perfect for relaxing even in the rain. Anini beach was awesome especially for us older folks. Shopping & restaurants near by was convenient. We all had a wonderful time🏝

False advertisement

Loved staying North Shore and will definitely return to the area but not this rental. Advertised as having AC but not working when we arrived so I called property management and they said there is no AC. Poor water pressure throughout the condo and it is located at the very end of the development with lots of traffic noise especially when you have to keep all windows open. Overall a great vacation but disappointed in the false advertisement.

The condo was great. It was very clean and nicely furnished. Our stay was amazing.

It is a very quiet place and very restful. The only problem that we had was with Uncle Mikey. He does not fulfill his promises. I truly feel that he is not the best representative for fun on the island. We ended up booking our outings with another person and received much better attention and information. But his inability to do what he said he was going to do did not diminish the lovely condo. It was great for 6 people and met and exceeded our needs. Thank you.

Spacious 3 bedroom conveniently located on the north shore. Would stay again

The property very comfortably suited 5 people. The layout provides enough space for everyone and the dining table was a great feature to have for the nights we are in. The outdoor patio was very comfortable with lovely distant views of the ocean. Several other reviews complained about the noise on the street outside but we did not have any issues and found the location to be very peaceful. The property was stocked with everything you need from kitchen appliances to beach towels to beach chairs and snorkel gear. The management team is extremely responsive- we had a small issue with the oven handle while we were there and they fixed it that same day. Air conditioning and extra fans in every room keep the inside a very comfortable temperature. Very comfortable beds. Would absolutely stay here again and would definitely reccomend it if you’re staying on the north shore

A comfortable family three bedroom condo in the heart of Princeville

We brought our five member family (kids 13, 20, 22) for an eleven day stay in late August, early September, just as Hurricane Lane was passing to the south, and four months after the massive April rain event. We saw little residual damage in the area, and the condo is located away from any of these type of flood events, which was reassuring. The condo was quite comfortable, with nice TV amenities. It is a really light and bright condo, very pleasant to be in. The bedrooms were a tad warm, even with the AC on. We would have preferred to leave the windows open at night with the AC off, but there was too much road noise from the adjoining road. That was really the only real negative issue though, and the reason we didn't give five stars. We tried to not leave the AC on too much due to the costs for the owners. Our kids voted to give five stars. The kitchen was small, but well appointed with what we needed, including a rice cooker we used numerous times. We did notify the owner's rep about two minor issues (loose door knob at the front door, and ice maker not functioning), and they sent somebody the next day to fix both. Their responsiveness was appreciated. The beds were comfortable for all of us, a real plus. Having three bathrooms was also very useful, and the master bath was huge and amazing. The lanai is covered, and a really nice size with comfortable furniture. We spent a lot of time there as an extra room. This was our fifth trip to Hawaii, but first to Kauai. When we travel, we like to have a home base that is homey, comfortable,and located near facilities. This fit the bill for all of those. It is close to Queens Bath (five minute walk), which is good since parking there is impossible. Also close to Hideaway Beach, an absolute gem with a fun but short, steep hike into. Five minute walk to Makai Golf course clubhouse, where we took advantage of the $10 each golf clinics for the whole family. If we return to Kauai, we will check here first for availability.

One of several options for staying in Princeville

This is a second floor condo with several stairs leading to the front door. It could potentially be an okay place to stay when the outside temperature is cooler, but we were here mid-June and it was uncomfortably hot inside. Although the condo advertised air conditioning, this unit only has three air vents in the entire condo. The bedroom with the twin bed and trundle did not have an air vent and we could never cool it down. When we spoke with the manager about the temperature and the air conditioner running non-stop, she said she could send in someone but they would just say the air conditioning unit was too small for the condo. This unit has been partially remodeled with newer paint and carpet. The master bath has granite countertops, but the other bathrooms have older tile. It is located right off the main road and there was a steady stream of cars driving by. We were able to pay a half day of rent for a late checkout (8:00 pm) when we left - which was great for catching the red eye flight. Overall this was place is okay, but with so many rental options in this area we will likely try someplace else when we return again.
