Amazing staff and resort design, and flexibility on early check-in was appreciated - but basic things were not taken seriously. Upon arrival, they did not offer the room upgrade for free for expedia vip, but tried to sell a suite with much cost. During the stay, the room had a hair dryer that had no warm blow. It was broken, and I asked for a new hair dryer, and they sent a dress steamer. The housekeeper who brought the dress steamer argued that it IS a hair dryer, pointing out the CONAIR is for hair dryers and it has BRUSHES. It was truly absurd and offensive as in how they tried to persuade me to accept a dress steamer for a hair dryer. They finally brought the right one it the next day when I requested again because they forgot. The samsung TV in the room and the whole section of that corner space had no wifi connection, turns out it was due to a poor wifi router positioning. It is stuck behind an air conditioning unit and the metalic structure blocks the signal - what the maintenance guy said. The maintenance guy was really helpful and solved the problem. But all of these problems had to be communicated through the hotel app or text message which depend on the internet or wifi connection. In the room there was a landline phone with no connection or functional buttons for anything useful. Why not make a reliable phone for housekeeping, communication with the front and between rooms like any other resorts and hotels? A pretentious hotel with no excuse to be so expensive.
