«The staff were wonderful: they cheerfully accommodated our wish to access our room early. Everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were spotless, the bed extremely comfortable. The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops. «The room was fine. Location was convenient to the highway. We didn’t stay for breakfast. It’s a relatively inexpensive option so there were some transient workers who were in the hallway cutting up a little bit. I let them know that my wife and I were trying to sleep and they must have moved it into their rooms because we didn’t hear them again. All in all, a decent stay well worth the cost.»

«Parking was easy. Beds comfortable. Rooms and hotel outdated and a bit worn. The rooms seemed clean enough but I got my own cleaner and washed room down. Don't get me wrong decent enough room. If you decide to take an Uber in town or around I met a top notch great driver who dresses in a suite, pleasant demeanor, plays a little classical music: His name is Derrick and his direct cell is: 1-603-338-1145.
