Welcome to the Fish Crazy house on the water at 918 Pompano in historic Port

Isabel on the fingers channel.



This home is a fishermans paradise, with a 20’ long x 8’ wide dedicated boat

slop with included Parking for a truck and trailer for your boat is available

on the property next to the house plus room for 2 more vehicles in the

driveway and as a bonus, a one car garage.



Put your boat in and let’s go fishing with a public boat ramp right now the

street. Or, go fishing and the rest go the the nearby beaches of South Padre

Island just a few miles away with dozens of public beach access points (all

beaches in Texas are public)



\- two vacations in one here - and avoid the super high Island prices.



This traditional older home features 2 bedrooms / 2 full bathrooms upstairs,

that includes a king bed in the master, a queen in the 2nd bedroom, adjacent

to an open concept kitchen that opens to the dining room and living room area.

The living area does have a Sleeper sofa as well as airbed, plus bring bedding

if you plan on using, all linens & bedding provided for all other beds - all

other beds have linens ready to go :)



From there you will notice all the glass to the water, and a patio that walks

out to a truly massive 2nd level deck with a gas BBQ grill (pls bring gas/LP

tank we do not provide).



Below the deck is your dedicated boat slip - perfect for any shallow sport or

bay fishing boat.



The kitchen is fully equipped with all pots, pans, dishes, etc ready for you

to make easy breakfast tacos before the fishing or cook your catch at night,

whether you choose for pan fry or use the gas grill on the patio.



We do provide an airbed and pump for extra sleeping space in the living room,

but please bring bedding if you plan on using :)



Once again remember to bring Gas/LP for the grill as do not provide the tank.



The fingers or channel in PI lead out the laguna madre bay with true World

Class fishing for trout, snapper, reds, & more - arguably one of the finest

fisheries in Texas let alone North America!



Downstairs is the “captain’s quarters” with a small efficiency style 1 bedroom

bathroom, and a queen bed for great privacy that has a door out to the 1 car

garage stall you may use.



The back door of the garage leads out to the boat slips - one of which is all

yours. You can also access the slips along the outside of the home.



It is important to note that there are 2 other boat slips that are leased but

offer no access to the home nor are accessed even outside at night so privacy

is assured.





If you seek a comfortable albeit somewhat dated yet very clean family style

home to relax at, Fish Crazy is it! Pompano is a very quiet street.



This home is perfect for a group of guys that want to have a couple after a

long day on the water with the massive deck, to families that want to fish and

or paddleboard SUP off the docks. While South Padre Island is 5 or 6 miles

from here, you can't beat the value of this home.



While we do allow up to 10 guests as we know kids may be with, it would only

really be comfortable for 6 adults, please note.



No boat? No sweat. Fish right here!

We do offer active military discounts as well as football coach discounts (I

coach youth football at Lake Travis, TX and appreciate your efforts with the

kiddos) just message me before you book so I can hook you up!



This is a hard to find gem & Port Isabel has some sights and food too - from

the infamous Pirate’s Den to the scrumptious Josefine’s Breakfast & lunch spot

- to a the new Brew Haus Hopper bar & grill to Iconic Isabel’s Cafe with

authentic valley migas & breakfast tacos simply not be missed - there is

something for everyone.



Nightlife there are several bars in Port Isabel as well, from DoubleDave’s

Sports Bar to catch games, to The Shark Tank with lively Karaoke. You must

take your kiddos to climb the historic lighthouse off the square, and the

historical museum as well as abundance of unique shopping in PI is well worth

a vacation.



While we have the best available Internet/wifi from spectrum they are the only

provider on the island and up time and coverage can be spotty at times we want

you to be aware of that



If you can't find the network name SouthPadreTrips it's usually means we had a

power outage and when the power comes back on It typically defaults the router

to the factory network name and password, which is located on a sticker on top

of the router.



Generally, if you reboot the router by unplugging it for a few minutes and

plugging it back in it will pop up



Want to go to South Padre Island for beach and swimming? Not a problem, it is

but 5 to 10 minutes away. Coolers, pop up tents, and BYOB friendly are the

beaches on the island. Park along gulf blvd or side streets and walk down to

one of many public beach access points.

Property is professionally managed by local South Padre Island Trips at 2600

Padre Blvd. We do offer free linen exchange for stays over 3 nights.



You must read & agree to ALL house rules prior to booking - failing to do so

is not a reason for a cancellation nor refund request so please review :)



We provide an electronic code to enter the property prior to 3 pm day of check

in to the number on file, not before.



You must have completed the docusign rental agreement and attached a photo of

your picture ID, read the house rules, and paid either the $99 fee for the

damage cover plan OR paid the $500 refundable damage deposit all are handled

thru the airbnb resolution center.



We will not provide door code for entry without these being done nor will we

offer a refund for this just to clarify.



Please contact us prior to booking if questions. If you do have a truck and

trailer for your boat, ask us where the boat ramp is, as well as let us pre

arrange for your parking at the neighboring lot as we must set it up in

advance for through no extra charge :)



We provide all bed sheets, blankets, bath towels, face towels, hand towels,

basic soaps & shampoos and a starter pack of dishwasher pods, trash bags,

coffee, filters, creamer, and sweetener. These supplies are a starter pack and

not unlimited nor re supplied.



Door codes are provided by 3 pm via text message for check in, FYI
