Parking is easy and stress-free, with space for up to 4 cars beneath the house or in the driveway, plus additional parking along both sides of the private road out front.



Whether you're sipping coffee on the deck, watching the sunrise over the Gulf, or taking a sunset ferry ride to Galveston, this laid-back beach neighborhood makes it easy to enjoy coastal living at its best.

You're perfectly positioned to enjoy all the fun the coast has to offer!



Within 10 miles, you’ll find the lively heart of Crystal Beach, where you can:

Just a scenic ferry ride away, you can spend a day on historic Galveston Island, home to:

This place is among the best places I've been! Highly recommended!!! 100 stars! It is away from the hustle and bustle of city life! Also, away from busy touristy spots! Close to nature and access to almost everything! Amanda and Josh are also very responsive. They kept in touch daily to see what's working! Superhost it is! We already booked our stay in December! Second visit to Purple Pelican

We love this home. Best location on the island. Quiet end, no crowds. Everything is thete for a great getaway. We love the one minute walk to the beach. Great coveted porch with lots of seating.

Quiet and Peaceful Beachfront Stay

The house accommodated 8 adults and 5 children very comfortably. The location is great if you are coming from Beaumont/Louisiana. Not that close to Galveston or to many food options, but the kitchen was very well stocked and made for a great place to prepare meals and enjoy time together. The beach was nice and quiet, there aren't too many other rentals or houses close by - which we enjoyed.

Fantastic stay, fantastic property

Loved everything about our stay. The owners were amazing too. The heat wasn’t working but they immediately responded and got someone over to repair it. 5star customer experience. The rooms were lovely and so much space for all 12’of us. 2 families and 2 grandmas. We were right by the beach, such wonderful location. Will highly recommend. And I’ll look at their properties again

Great family vacay home!

We got there early and were accommodated earlier. Wasn’t as spacious as we expecting but it brought the family even closer in the cozy space. Any questions were answered right away by owner. The sand was a little tough to get over the dune maybe a bridge could be built or something, and a porch covering to provide shade when just sitting looking over balcony. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The perfect space for us

We fell in love w/this home! The location was superb, beach front, and just a few short steps away from the water. The room set up was perfect. Our group had 4 couples, a 1 yr old, a 3 yr old and a group of hs and college age kids. All of the couples loved having the privacy of their own rooms. My little family in particular loved having a room with a nook that also included a pack n play for our baby. The room was huge and the bed fit my husband, myself and our toddler comfortably. Everyone complimented how comfortable all the beds were and how nice the sheets and bedding were too! Extra blankets were included in all the rooms as well. Every corner of this home was utilized with lots of thought! Each room also included charging stations on both sides of the beds, a suitcase stand, and a sound machine! The upstairs loft was huge, and all of the older kids loved that there was a restroom upstairs. Everyone felt there was plenty of space and never felt crammed. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you might need to cook, and included my favorite, a Vitamix! One of the nights we were there we took it downstairs, and made delicious piña coladas in the very inviting downstairs patio. My husband’s favorite was the outdoor shower! Oh, and we love that there was a hose at the very bottom of the stairs to clean your feet after day at the beach, and there was even a hose upstairs as well. I could go on and on about the amenities of this home. We will definitely be back!

Fun extended weekend with family

We enjoyed our stay over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We travelled with 4 couples plus 6 kids (grandparents-kids-grandkids). LOVED the location. The property was on a great stretch of beach with perfect views from the expansive porch. It’s about a 5 min drive to closest gas station, but we liked being away from the crowded section of the peninsula. Beach access was a very short walk from the house so it was very easy to run back for snacks or to use bathroom. The large bedroom upstairs with 5 beds was perfect for all of the kids to share. Beds were nice and comfy. All bedrooms have smart tvs and all were in working order. Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked quite a bit during our stay. Three of the four level 1 bedrooms have a shared bathroom so we ended up sharing the private/en suite bath with one other room. Not a big deal for relatives, but this could pose a challenge for unrelated adults. I would highly recommend the property to others!

Prom Weekend at the Purple Pelican 💜💜💜

We loved our stay at the Purple Pelican for prom weekend! The true beach front location was perfect and seemed private as there was not much beach traffic. The 5 bedroom house was amazingly accommodating to our group, which included an upstairs bedroom that easily housed 10 teens! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to entertain a large group. My favorite area was the porch overlooking the beach, which was perfect for early mornings or evenings. The beach was so close that a golf cart wasn’t necessary. We look forward to renting again!

Family and friend birthday celebration

We had the best time this past weekend at the purple pelican! It was a beautiful property, well equipped and the hosts were so responsive and friendly! The house was warm and welcoming and was a perfect spot for a mixed group of family and friends who joined together for my daughters 10th birthday celebration. The location is also ideal, with great beach access. We will definitely book again!
