«Conviniently located close to ferry and close to center. Friendly owner. Parking space (if not full). No breakfast, but a couple of decent places within 5 minutes walk. We had a nice room with balcony. Refrigerator (empty, but functional).»

Around 9.00 p.m. something happened to electricity and both room heater stopped working. «Hotellet er slitent, det er langt over vedlikeholdsetterslep. Det trenger full sanering fra topp til tå. Det var så mye støv på rommet, det lå lag på alle møbler. Og det var flekker på teppet og sofa. Det var så ille med støv, at selv vi som ikke er astmatikere eller har lungesykdom syns det var ille. «The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms.»

«After our first day walking the Queen Charlotte Track, the place was an oasis! The room was lovely, the shower perfect and dinner was delicious. They provided a bag lunch on request for our next day. They work well with the cougar line and our bags were in our room when we arrived. It is a lovely resort in a picturesque setting. »
