«This was our first time at this property. It was not during peak season so I don't know how it gets during peak season but as far as I know, the hotel was full as it's not that large. The room was wonderful. We were in room 12. I had a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and the beach our own walkway to the beach. The temperature in the room is comfortable. «My husband and I were in the area for a surgery and because of a reservation mishap at a different hotel we found ourselves having to make a same day reservation at Candlewood. Doug and the rest of the staff made our arrival and check in a breeze, they were even able to accommodate our special requests. «The room was generally clean, but the amenities were terrible. There was no shampoo, conditioner or body soap. There were reusable fillable containers that were empty.. We had no toilet paper. I had to ask for toilet paper and extra towels and we just made do with the one bar of soap we were given. The bed was fine. There is a refrigerator. The breakfast was awful. The coffee maker wasn’t working and then by the time they got it working it was basically Sanka/some powdered coffee mix. »

«I booked this hotel at last minute while on a road trip. I honestly wish I could have stayed more than one night. I slept great. When I arrived to the hotel later in the evening I had a couple of issues which they were very quick to fix. I booked one of the rooms with a water view. It was beautiful and calming to wake up to. I would stay again! I felt safe, I found the room to be comfortable and quiet. »

«We enjoyed our two night stay immensely. How could we not, with a lovely view of Good Harbor Beach and a seven minute walk to get there. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and welcoming. The property is clean, attractive and well maintained and the Continental Breakfast was well-stocked and appreciated. The ONLY downsides: the water, which took several minutes to get hot (which they made us aware of at check-in) and the shower which was a bit crowded with the soap dispensers on the wall. And ...

«We loved everything about this place! The room had a nice layout. The Roku TVs were easy to use and it was great that we could easily sign into our own streaming service accounts. The refrigerator had a Brito water container with filter. The room also had a small counter top stove, a microwave and a coffee maker. The only complaint that I had was that I got pretty warm in the bed despite having the AC set to 65 degrees. There was no fan in the bedroom.»

«Lobby and room was clean, check in was timely and efficient. Location is convenient. The room required some maintenance, however . The shower did not drain well. Unfortunately on the 3rd night of the stay I was awakened by the sound of running water- it was dripping down from the ceiling around the sprinkler system head and through the light fixture over the bathroom sink-, a plumbing issue from above. «The hotel was really nice and has a near by beach. It’s an hour away from the airport and 45 minutes from Boston. That is my only complaint. Salem is only 15 minutes and the drive there is so pretty.»

We only needed one night in order to attend a few graduation events and the Briar Inn far exceeded our expectations.
