«As a Gold Member we were entitled to a bottle of wine from the hotel, but the strict woman in charge of the reception said NO, she never heard of it. She demanded to see our confirmation and upon showing it to her, she still refused. After a couple of hours, a friendly colleague of her brought us a bottle og wine. All the rest of the staff were nice. The room was ok with view of the river. Breakfast did not have a lot of options but was ok.»

«The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too!
Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun!

«The room was very clean and well equipped, nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was lovely including home made jams, marmalade and fresh bread. The food in general was amazing, we had dinner on our first evening and then the dinner and wine tasting on the second night. Luis the owner did the wine tasting and he was very informative and a proud wine producer from the Douro Valley. All the staff were amazing and looked after us really well. We were all made to ...
