Great Riverside Getaway
This is probably the best stocked VRBO I've ever stayed at--I brought all sorts of kitchenware only to have more than enough equipment inside. The house was clean and well kept. Two things to be aware of: -Its enormously BUGGY. It's on Wilderness Road so not surprising but bring lots of big spray and a a fogger. -The bed in the guest bedroom is not that uncomfortable but it squeaks like nothing I've heard before. May benefit from some WD40. But ultimately this is one of the best stats I've had with VRBO and would go again in a less insect-heavy season.

Great Cabin, Great Location on the River
We had a great stay at the cabin. The location is excellent right on the snake river. Very very pretty. We took full advantage of the fire pit, kayaks on property, as well as the tubes. Our hosts were prompt to respond when we reached out to them. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend to anyone traveling in this area of Minnesota. Also, the WiFi works well for anyone who needs it.

We ended up NOT staying!
A friend and I were going for a weekend of sewing. It was winter, the path to the house was barely shoveled. We had to shovel more to get to the house. The code was wrong and we didn’t have reception so we had to drive into town to call the owner, and when we finally got in, the smoke detector was chirping because of low battery and it was in the peak of the ceiling so we couldn’t reach it. We did get a full refund, but we had packed all our sewing stuff and food so not only were we super disappointed but we had to go straight home and unpack.

Great little cabin
My wife, myself, our adult daughter, and teenage son enjoyed a very pleasant 3 days relaxing between Christmas and New Year's. The cabin was smaller than we expected but it's well laid out and the drop-leaf rolling cabinet provided space for games, puzzles, and eating.

Pine City Stay
This was a great location for visiting family in Sandstone, just a 20minute drive on the interstate. The cabins are great for families as they are very close together. We would definitely love to stay in the summer when we could enjoy the river that is right in the back yard!

Peaceful/quiet getaway
The cabin was very peaceful/quiet, our reason for our getaway. The amenities/supplies that were provider were very nice. The only thing I'm not sure if I missed in the description was the closeness of the other homes but did not disrupt the cozy and quiet area we enjoyed.

Cabin weekend
We had a great time. The cabin was really nice and had everything we needed. The kids loved being able to catch crayfish in the river and the owner was very helpful when we needed some help getting kayaks so all of us could go out on the river.

Enjoyed our stay.
We loved the cozy cabin which had all the amenities needed. Loved the morning view from the bedroom and the fire pit which was on the river bank. Perfect getaway from the Twin Cities. Our dog also love being outdoor. Need good fans as only 1 of the 2 fans was really working and sometimes it got hot in the cabin even with the windows open. Will surely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful and wonderful caring hosts.
Beautiful location and wonderful cabin and hosts. I can't explain how helpful the host was here. Are 7 month old puppy got loose went out into the forest and was lost for 3 days the host posted on the community Facebook as well as we did with pet finder and because of her help our dog was found. The home was absolutely clean full of everything you could possibly need the views were spectacular,and the stay was absolutely perfect.

MidOctober Getaway
We loved the view and the lazy rolling river. It was hypnotizing to watch oak leaves fall from the sky and trickle away down stream. We enjoyed the fireplace and really liked the Thai restaurant in Hill City. We hiked around and found the Millilon Dollar Bridge and kayaker in the river a bit. The only thing I would critique is the couch that probably could be switched out. Thank you for letting us enjoy your peaceful corner of the world.

This property was quiet and secluded. A nice, comfortable place to relax.
This property was quiet as we had no neighbors on either side for the majority of time we were there. It was also tucked away in the woods over looking the Snake River. Very peaceful. We especially enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and our evening meals. For the entire five days we had gorgeous weather, so we were able to hike, bike and kayak everyday. (Bonus: the kayaks were included!) This property was well maintained as all the faucets, locks, lights and appliances worked. Overall the cabin was clean, except for dog hair and dust in the corners and a few dirty pans. We did not mind these issues as we were able to adapt. Overall I would rate this cabin as “excellent,” especially for a beautiful fall getaway.

So peaceful
It was such a peaceful place to stay for several days on our honeymoon. Highly highly highly recommend if you’re looking for someplace to get some rest and watch the water flow by and maybe even take a canoe or kayak up and down the river. Could not be happier!

Early spring break getaway
Enjoyed the cozy cabin on the river. The ice was breaking up and it was super neat to watch. Everyday more water was flowing. It was wonderful to bring our dog up with us as she’s getting old and hard to leave without us. She enjoyed being in front of the fireplace. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.

We loved the peace and quietness of the place. Nicely maintained and close to the cities. There was just a few minor inconveniences. 1) The refrigerator was full of stuff and dirty. We bring everything we need and didn’t use what was in there. 2) The stove was so dirty that when we turned it on it literally smoked us out of the cabin. 3) Need a new coffee pot. Took an hour to brew and doesn’t keep the coffee warm. I don’t drink coffee but my wife without coffee in the morning is not a pretty scene. 😩 4) Need a water drip guard on the roof above the door. This time of year with the melting then refreezing at night made it really slippery and dangerous in front of the door in the morning. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in spite of the few minor inconveniences.

A quick escape from the twin cities.

THE VIEWS!!!
This is such a special place on a truly spectacular piece of land. Even with rain, we were able to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views out the floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch from wall to wall. The placement overlooking the river is simply out-of-this-world. The Spider-Man (original Toby Maguire version) DVD was a bit scratched but Bruce Almighty played great with no skipping. Beyond that, no complaints. It is a one-of-a-kind stay that is a short drive from the cities. This place is amazing and 100% worth checking out.

This is such a relaxing spot on the river. in spite of the hammering building the cabin next door but I had been warned about that. Love the little twinkly lights strung outside. Super firepit. Nice modern cabin set on a lovely lot with a great variety of tree types

Beautiful location but cleaners did not do their job
The location was beautiful on the Snake River and the cabin was what we expected however the cleanliness fell short. I have stayed at several VRBOs over the last 5 years and this is the first property I've stayed at that was not clean. The refrigerator had not even been opened by the cleaners so I had to clean it out to put our food in, which was a bad start to our stay.

I am sorry the cabin did not meet your expectations, and I have reviewed the protocol with the cleaners to prevent any issues in the future. I am very surprised by this feedback especially when put in the context of over 100 positive reviews on this and other sites about my cabin.

Great getaway spot
We came from Arizona and spent a week at the property. Quiet, secluded location with the river in front. Lots of wildlife to watch. Cabin was nice also. Could use newer, or better couch, no springs left in this one! Owner was super as was the property.

Short Stay
Was booked for three nights and only stayed for a few hours. Cabin was nice but needs curtains that cover the windows completely and a way to cover the glass door. No outside lighting making it impossible to see anything after sunset. No cell service and felt a little vulnerable being in a place where anyone can see in but you can’t see out.

Labor Day
It was a nice quiet location. We had the river out back. It was very peaceful. We didn't have great cell service. But the internet worked well. My only recommendation would be for there to be tv stations available. There were dvds, but would've preferred to have some form of cable. We were able to bring both our dogs, so that was great! I would definitely stay again.

Up the lazy river
I rent a different property every summer and this one was my favorite. So very relaxing by the river and nice fire pit. I loved the big windows in the cabin. Nice to have the gas fireplace for fall.

Peaceful Getaway
Cabin was very clean and nicely laid out. The view of the river was spectacular! This was a great place to go and get away from everything. Mosquitos were terrible, but there were tiki torches, candles, and bug spray on site and it did help out tremendously! Was a really nice bonus to have the kayaks and canoe, although we only had 1 vehicle and weren't able to transport them, unless we wanted to walk 4 miles or more carrying them. If I had to have anything negative to say it would be I wish there were walking trails close by and working outdoor lighting. Was also confused by the food and booze in fridge and cupboards, thought someone was still staying there when we arrived. (Have never seen that at any other place we have stayed) All in all the town had pretty much everything you needed. Was a very nice and much needed experience and is a highly recommended location.

Great place to relax.
Nice, quite place by the river. My family with our golden retriever had great time there. We enjoyed a lot. We tried kayaking, fishing and atvs which we rented nearby. The cabin had everything what we needed . We would like to back there next summer.

Family Getaway
We stayed in mid July 2019. The cabin was as represented. Perfect for our family of 4. Definitely pack bug spray, you’ll need it! The kids really enjoyed kayaking on the river. It would have been better if we had a pick up to drop transport the kayaks. Lots of games are provided. Check the weather ahead of time. We should have packed an extra fan. With a high of 85, the last night was pretty hot as a thunderstorm was brewing up for the next day. We’d recommend this to people looking to getaway.

Snake River in the Spring
My husband and I, along with our Siberian Husky, had an enjoyable stay at this cabin on the Snake River. The wrap around deck, fire pit and the floor to ceiling windows facing the river were our highlights. Quiet and very relaxing by the river. The only thing I would recommend bringing along is a dish towel, which we did, since I did not see any in the cabin. Also there is a plastic sheet on the bed so we would wake each other up once in a while when the other person moved around at night. But if I was being honest, I would probably do the same thing if I was renting out my cabin :-) so not a big deal to us.

So lovely!
So enjoyed my 3 nights stay here! The river's endless flowing tranquility 20 feet outside the cabin's clean windows mesmerized my soul, day and night. The cabin was clean, had all the amenities I needed, and I slept soundly in the comfortable bed (riverside bedroom) with nice, clean sheets and warm comforters. The fireplace kept me cozy warm inside in the 30 degree temperatures. The water heater provided hot showers, and the cold tap water, I assume well water, tasted wonderful! Almost as good as my wine, well not quite. I watched a family of loons enjoy breakfast at the river's edge one morning; what a treat! An absolute wonderful get-away to rejuvenate the spirit, just a little over an hour away from the Twin Cities.
