Some issues
No power outlet near bed. Only one bed light for the two queen beds. The room had only two towels, even though it was booked for tree. Killed large insect in room. Thought it was a cockroach but staff said it was a cricket. Coffee in the room did not match the percolator. Beds were very hard.

Nær flyplass og gratis shuttle
Generelt ok. I nærhet av flyplassen som var det vi var ute etter. Nytt og fint hotel. Synd ikke det var noen uteområdet som var ferdig. Gratis transport til flyplass og for en billig penge kom vi oss til en shopping mall i nærheten. Bra service og tilbud. Frokost var så som så. Ikke buffet, kun en "platter" med noen ferdig utvalgte produkter.

THE PLACE IS TO DARK BED TO Hard Pillows are half size. NO FACE CLOTH IN BATHROOMS NO REMOTE CONTROL IN ONE ROOM. TERRIBLE WORST ONE WE EVER STAYED in. THANK GOD IT WAS ONE NIGHT

The close location to the airport was the main reason we selected it. But overall, it was an underwhelming experience. It was poorly maintained, the staff poorly trained. The room was clean, the food was good, but the service was minimal. We will not be back.

Staff were pleasant but room was not properly cleaned and toilet didn’t flush consistently. The maintenance did nothing to fix it when notified and said it was just filling slowly and didn’t care to do anything about it and would not give us another room. Center of the hotel had a feature pond which was full of greenish water that definitely had not been cleaned in a while. Would not stay here again

This hotel is a total dump. The hotel misrepresents themselves on the internet. We got there and were shocked at the terrible room they tried to give us. We stayed in the room for about five minutes trying to decide what to do. In those five minutes we took one tag off a suitcase and put in the trash. The hotel supervisor then told us that we had to pay for the five minute stay in the room because we put one luggage tag in the trash. We tried to get a refund for the two night stay but they said NO because we put a luggage tag in the trash and because we turned down a second room they showed us. The second room was larger but just as dumpy as the first. We found a good place to stay with our phone and got a taxi to it. The Regent Star was a total waist of over $300. Do not believe anything they tell you or the impression they give on the internet. Do not stay here.

Upon arrival after 1am in the morning. The security guard, did not budge at the gate to see if I was a guest and needed to enter the premises. I had to come out of my car to ask if this was the entrance. The staff did an adequate job, switching my rooms from what they originally assigned, to a two bedroom which I requested. They offered me a ground floor unit which was convenient for my elderly mom. However, they checked the room and said it was ok, however, after setteling in and getting ready for a bath there was no towels, rags, or hand cloth. I went to the front desk and she proceeded to hand me 1 hand towel. I asked for a full set, for both guest. She said she can only give me one at the moment, but someone will bring another one. Non ever came and I shared this via checkout the next day. Also, the bathroom appeared incomplete. The shower either needed a door, or a separation to not allow water from the standing shower to spill over into the toilet and vanity area. It was a mess and was worried that I would have slipped... and no towels to step on the floor to wipe up the water. Breakfast was good.

Was concerned because there were very mixed reviews. I was just overnighting in Trinidad and had an early flight. Wanted a hotel close to the airport, walking distance if possible. Couldn’t book on the hotel website and tried calling. The person at the other end of the phone said “I can’t hear you, if you are there call me on my cellular “ and have a number. I tried that but didn’t get through. It was not on some of the hotel booking websites but was on Expedia so booked it there. Walked from the terminal, about 10 mins alone the side of a dual carriagway and around a busy roundabout. Easy walk but a little dangerous without footpaths in some places. Hotel looked grood , initially staff at reception were not particularly welcoming but efficient. Room was great , clean and modern. Had dinner in the restaurant food good, staff not friendly initially but warmed up a bit.. Overall a good place for an overnight stay with an early flight.

Its a shame that the hotel is run down yet the location is perfect for business travelers. The staff is very pleasant, but they are limited to supply the traveler with simple supplies like wash cloths and coffee & creamers that are not expired.

It's proximity to the Piarco International Airport. There was a burnt smell in the elevator similar to that of cigarettes, and that wasn't pleasant, especially with kids. Other than that, everything else was okay. I would recommend they fix that asap.
