Overall, this LaQuinta is an excellent choice. I do have one complaint however, the toilet bowel filled much too full. I hope this was unique to my room.

They had to change us twice because the 1st room air conditioner didn't work. 2nd room was not clean nor vacuumed

This is an older facility that could have used a fresh coat of paint throughout. I would have given this facility a higher grade overall had it not been for finding pieces of dried cat food on the floor and having the same breakfast items for 7 days straight. The housekeeping refresh was very good for the first 6 days but on the last day of the stay the whole trip was ruined. I made the critical mistake of not taking my wallet with me during breakfast and a quick trip to the pool. Upon returning to my room I noticed my wallet had been moved from where i left it and three $50 bills were missing. Perhaps a $20 bill or two also, although I cannot be sure about those. The hotel manager was supposed to call me but never did. When I finally tracked down the hotel manager the next day I was told that a housekeeping supervisor accompanies an attendant into each room when cleaning and there was no way the money was missing. Keep in mind that I had been there all week and never, ever saw a second cleaning person on the floor at any time. In my opinion this was a total misrepresentation and full protection for the thief. There is no safe in each room. As a result, I am out at least $150. My advice: stay elsewhere. If you cannot trust the housekeeping staff with your belongings while you are away it's not worth staying there.

Terrible - Think twice before booking here. I reserved a room through Expedia a week before the Final Four. I was arriving late because I was flying across the country from Alabama to Tuscon and then renting a car to drive to the hotel. I called the hotel directly at 5 pm to let them know I would be a late arrival. They told me as long as I arrived by 2 am, it would be okay. I got to the hotel at 11 pm only to find that they had overbooked and gave my room to someone else (I'm sure at a higher rate). There were 2 other families that came in and had the same thing happen to them (one of them booked through Wyndham, not sure about other one). Both had small children. The staff showed no sympathy and threatened to call the cops for loitering when one lady said they had nowhere to go and was going to come sleep in the lobby. There were zero rooms in Phoenix and I had to drive all the way back to Tuscon to find a hotel at about 3 am local time. No apology, no empathy, no explanation on why they screwed up, only "we can't call anyone because they are asleep"...well, no crap Sherlock, we would all like to get some sleep.

Decent. Literally holes in common area walls with peeling wallpaper. The curtain rod in our room was falling down; the screws had been pulled out of the wall. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because it was hung crooked.

Sewer water pored into sink thru overflow hole and we had to collect the water in a trash can and dump it into the toilet. We did this several times before it finally stopped. We crept by until we checked out

Decent place, the king suite was a nice place for a weekend away from the kids. It is definitely starting to show it's age, there was plaster and paint chipping off the window, elevators needed some tlc, hot tub jets were almost zero, but overall it was a very pleasant stay.
