The hotel is old. The heat/AC system in our suite was so noisy we had to leave it turned off. The layout of the room was old. The mattress wasn’t great. There was no elevator security, like having to scan a hotel key before going upstairs, and no one at the hotel entrance really paid attention to who was coming in, so I didn’t feel safe sometimes. They charged $70/day for overnight parking, a total ripoff. The restaurants are good, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

It’s a luxury, classic hotel that feels old money and fancy. You’re paying for that. Nice size rooms, excellent service. Parking is way too pricey, and wish the lobby library bar had a dimmer setting with more seating, especially in the later evening for a night cap. Really liked it and would recommend it for anyone trying to feel pampered.

Beautiful hotel and incredible staff
Super pleasant and accommodating staff!! From the valet guys to the front desk to the restaurant servers and bar tenders…so welcoming and attentive!! Room was beautiful and beds were super comfortable! Two loud obnoxious couples on both sides of our room screaming at each other fighting late night and early morning but that’s not the hotels fault. It’s hard to avoid dopes no matter where ya go😬

Arrived early but room was not ready until close to 6pm (3 hours after check in ) . We had dinner reservations at 645 pm and after having been out all day, we wanted to shower and have down time.. but that didn’t happen. The front desk staff and management went above and beyond in making it up to our group - by adding some additional perks and extending check out. Room magnificent and view of park was amazing! Amazing breakfast at LaCroix. The initial check in was very disappointing and off putting but the front desk staff and manager made up for it..

We loved this hotel, my 2 young kids had a great time and so did our dog. There's a room service menu for dogs, a dog park across the street, and the staff were all dog friendly. They even brought a bed and bowls for her and she got some treats. With advanced notice you can get pet sitting and dog walking, however we didn't know that but the receptionist said he could walk her for us. The in room dining was very good. Would for sure stay again

Badly in need of an update
Unfortunately the pricing of this classic establishment does not justify the experience, and we wish we had stayed elsewhere in this prime location. Rittenhouse square has several other hotels nearby for a fraction of this, all of which are in better condition and offer full amenities.
