Deep Woods Escape is like being at your own private luxury resort that is surrounded by nature and only 7 miles from town. This 4500 sq ft spacious cabin is nothing short of breathtaking with a touch of modern mixed and unique rustic detail, it is country sophistication at its best! So MANY activities for every season.

Take relaxing soak in the hot tub, splash in the 40' heated pool, unwind with a drink at the indoor or outdoor bar, snuggle up by the fireplace, roast smores or tell ghost stories at the outdoor firepit, sit on one of the many decks or patios drinking coffee and watching the sunrise or listen to the pure enjoyment coming from your friends, family, kids, grand kids or co-workers. Play ping pong, billiards pool, horseshoes, washers, sand volleyball or one of the many board or card games. Blast your favorite song on the Sonos wifi speaker system (yes, I said blast the only people you are going to bother are the ones in group).

Your own private resort

We were an extended family (infants to adults) getting together for a long weekend. The house is exactly as described and as the pictures show. The absolute best VRBO home we have ever stayed in! The house includes everything you may ever need and would have to go buy at other rentals. The space was ample and we were all able to sleep comfortably in a bed or a rollaway bed provided. There are plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub. We spent so much time outside in the back yard swimming, grilling and sitting around the fire in the evenings enjoying smores. This is the best private resort for total relaxation! We will be back!

Super Bowl weekend

We stayed with a group of friends over the superbowl weekend. We have stayed here before and we loved it just as much the second time as we did the first. The owner makes things easy for those who stay from her communication with you to the checkout process. The amenities are amazing. We had a great time and we will stay again!

Family Christmas

We held our family Christmas here. 13 people, 7 adults and 6 children. We spent 6 days here. People played pool, ping pong, games, swam and we grilled outside. This house has everything you would in your own home! One day I hosted our huge family gathering of 40+people, plenty of room, it was nice outside and inside and once again everything is provided at the house. I would recommend this house to everyone. Beautiful home. I will rent this house again. Julie

Perfect Staycation!!!

We planned our First Christmas Staycation at this beautiful property for 8 adults and 8 children (from 1 - 16)! This place is the best ever!!! Upon arrival, I was greeted by Joe whom was very accommodating and personable and showed me around to explain all of the extra special amenities! We certainly enjoyed the Sonos Music System as well as the locally made sausage, garlic cheese and wine! What a nice surprise! We had more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable! We stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect!! The amenities that are provided by Emma and Joe are absolutely second to none as there was nothing that they didn’t provide!! Thank you for decorating for Christmas as it was extra special for us The entire property, inside and out were well equipped and super clean! We all enjoyed not only the home but the outdoor area with hot tub, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, sand play area, horse shoes and of course the glorious covered and heated swimming pool … everything was awesome! There was so much at our “resort” that kept everyone entertained including the pool table and ping pong inside as well as all of the games provided! I would highly recommend this awesome experience to anyone that is looking for PERFECTION for your next get away, this is the place! Hats off to you both Emma and Joe, for providing the perfect Staycation Experience! We enjoyed it immensely and hope to return again next year as it is centrally located for all of our immediate family!!

Amazing As Always

This stay was just as amazing as the first year when it was completed and done. We were expected to see some wear and tear from the past two years but we didn't notice anything. It was perfect! The cleaning and grounds crew do an amazing job taking care of the place and Emma makes sure you feel right at home.

Back in the Woods

The 11 of us had an incredible long weekend! The house lived up to all the hype even though the weather didn’t cooperate! Hot tub, pool, smoker, incredible kitchen, pool and ping pong, etx! Everybody loved it! Will definitely be back one day and would recommend it to anyone! The owners were incredibly helpful and responsive, no problems at all!

Private Resort

We had a group of 8 couples and had the most fantastic time. The photos online don't do this place justice. It was like our own private resort; we didn't leave the entire time other than for a couple of trips to the grocery store. The property owners have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay perfect. We can't wait to come back with other groups as well.

Amazing getaway

If your looking for a quiet place to stay this is it. The pool is awesome, great tiki bar. We sat around fire pit every night. House has everything you need! Kids enjoyed playing ping pong and pool table. We would definitely go back again to stay. Thanks Emma for sharing your house with us.

Family Christmas reunion

We have rented a home once a year for eight years now with our grown married children and grandchildren. Just a long weekend to reconnect. Usually at lake Ozark but since this trip would be in December we did not want to travel that far. We could not have made a better choice. This cabin is spectacular, spacious, heavenly,clean,felt like home! There is no need to go anywhere while there, so much to do. We had great weather for December so we were outside all day using pool, hot tub,horseshoes,fire pit, bar and barbecue area with TV for the guys, the sand area was utilized by adults for tossing a football and the three year old to run around and play with his toys and the toys provided. Inside at night in the lower level we could all fit comfortably and gather for ping pong and billiards and board games. We can’t wait to return! Your host Emma was wonderful it felt like staying at a friends house.

The house and host were amazing. By far one of the best places I've ever rented.

I rented this house for my team for a retreat since we had not all been together since 2020. This property is amazing, you don't need to leave everything is right there. Emma was an amazing host. We can't wait to come back next year.

Amazing weekend at the Deep Woods

I spent the weekend at the Deep Woods escape for my sister bachelorette party and we were blown away by the property and Emma’s hospitality. The house had so many amenities and stocked with all the bells and whistles to help us have such an enjoyable weekend. Emma was readily available for any questions we had and dropped off several items that were needed to enhance our experience. I cannot recommend this property enough! Thanks again Emma!

Friends Reunion

We met with two other very good family friends for four nights at Bauman’s Deep. It was perfect! It felt luxurious. There was something for everyone to do all of the time! Between our three families we have 15 kids and there was room for everyone, including a kind bed for each adult couple! Emma was gracious. She met us at the property to explain everything and checked back during our stay. She brought us some extra kindle for the fire and homegrown tomatoes and sweet corn from her garden. Everything you needed for your stay was provided. Thank you Emma for being such a thoughtful host. We loved our stay and cherish the memories we created while we were there.

This place is amazing.

Everything was wonderful! Emma had house fully stocked with all we needed. My only complaint is the need for dresser in bedroom. No where to put your clothes. Other than that everything else was perfect.
