The cold winter weather won't effect your time in the water at the Purple Parrot indoor heated pool. The indoor pool, exercise area and sauna open for your enjoyment. The large outdoor grotto-style pool, next to the Tiki bar and grill, is open for you. They offer a different band every night, playing those great oldies, or country music! Of course, the entire Perdido Key area has suffered some damage from Hurricane Sally, but all of the beaches are open and beautiful.
The Sun-Kissed Cottage condo is a fantastic vacation spot that has been newly painted with great coastal colors throughout located in the heart of the Purple Parrot. It is located just steps away from the indoor pool, fitness center, saunas and is near the outdoor pool area and tiki bar as well. For check-in/out details you may call the property managment office at 850-492-9999.
This Purple Parrot Village Resort, 2-Bedroom Villa has been stunningly decorated and has a lively Caribbean feel from the moment you step inside! The villa has a king bed with flat screened TV in the master bedroom, a king size bed and two full size beds in the newly updated second bedroom and both bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom to give the feel of two master suites. The condo has also been equipped with a secure high-speed wireless internet connection, a deck on the lower level and an open-air full deck on the upper level, as well as a small balcony accessible through the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have their own television with full access to cable. (NOTE: At this time reservations will only be made via a credit card.)

A little history about Perdido Key:
The Key was discovered by the Spanish in the 15th century and literally translates as "Lost Island." Sixty-five percent of Perdido Key, Florida is protected from development by state and federal parks. The Purple Parrot Village Resort features Caribbean-themed villas, a lagoon pool surrounded by palm trees, a continuous waterfall cave and surrounds a bridge-accessible island hot tub. For rainy days, utilize the heated indoor pool, hot tub, gym, and saunas. The on-site Tiki Bar features nightly music and a delicious menu. Johnson Beach - part of the federal national seashore - is a short two-minute drive from the Purple Parrot Village Resort, allowing access to some of the most magnificent white sand beaches in the world.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The place was amazing, clean, and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. The pool was steps away and the beach was a short drive down the street. Plenty of great restaurants close by. We hope to stay here again someday. The host, Tommy, was always available and replied quickly to our messages. Thanks Tommy! Great place!!!

Family get together getaway

We try to have a family vacation on the Alabama Gulf Coast each year. We have stayed at the purple Parrot several times and we are always impressed with pool. It’s always clean and well kept.The cabin was in excellent condition and clean as well.We enjoy the proximity to the Gulf of America and the availability to the pools.It’s also close to neat restaurants and supermarkets.I recommend this location for family getaways and (the one bedroom units) the resort is great place for a fall and early pre-spring vacation for a couple to get away for a few days.

The pictures do not do the property justice. The interior is beautiful, modern and cozy. The beds are amazing and so comfortable. The location, the live music and pool are a bonus. The only thing I would change is having beach/ pool towels available.

Great Stay! But outdated check in

We love this resort and this is our second stay there! This property was very clean and located right near the indoor pool, gym, and tiki bar! Parking was also directly in front which was super convenient. My only complaint is that we had to go to a separate location to pick up a physical key and return it upon checkout. I use sites like this to book regularly and couldn’t tell you the last time I had to use a physical key vs. a key code. The door was even key code capable. I understand updating that code constantly may be difficult for the hosts, but every other property I have booked in the last few years have done it. Otherwise, this was a great property!!! Thanks!!

Nice Overall

Place was nice overall. Plenty of room for our family trip of four adults. Nice pool/bar (though it was a bit chilly due to the time of year - not their fault). Beach access (and a Publix for groceries) was nearby.

Home away from home

This place was perfect for a quiet, simple setting but drivable to all the big stuff. We loved the Blue Angels and the Naval Base. Walk to the beach was perfect! House was nicely equipped and decorated.

Good location + a few notes

Great location! Good size for families. Beach is walkable but we took bikes. There are some paved pathways that made riding/walking easy. Close to the Publix for grocery needs. Not a ton of restaurants in the area but at least four within walk/bike distance. The resort was mostly families, in addition to being gated to keep it secure. The sand and pool were nice (albeit the pool was cold). Indoor pool needs attention. Did NOT love that the tiki bar is directly across the street and had music every single night (including people screaming karaoke). Space was clean, beds comfortable. Except Master bathroom had a musty smell and noticeable water damage on the door trim. It seemed it was just painted over which is why it still smelled. I ran the fan every time I was in the bathroom to try to lessen it. Only additional note for the owner would be the lack of a few "modern connivence's". Coffee maker is traditional (not a Kurieg) so we had to bring filters instead of pods. Televisions are cable only so there's no way to access any streaming services. I didn't even think to check on this as most modern TVs seem to be smart TVs. Had issues reaching owner as his voicemail was full and slow to respond to emails. There were no pool bracelets but I luckily ran into a property worker who could get me some. Additionally visitors should be aware of the new beach laws in the area which mean all the beach front resorts have the area in front of them roped off to the wet sand.

Great spring break trip

We had a wonderful time at Tommy's place for our spring break. The house is beautiful and well stocked for cooking needs, bedding, etc. Check in was tricky because the keyless entry code did not work, you need to go to the vacation rental property forst and get actual keys. My only criticism would be for whoever cleans the property, the master bathroom was not clean by a long stretch when we first arrived, it had clean towels but there was hair everywhere. So I'm sure that could be addressed easily. We did have to leave for a bit for a realty showing of this property but Tommy was kind enough to say he would give us a $50 refund for the inconvenience. Overall, the house was great for our family of 6! The screened in porch was a delight as was the lit up top balcony. We stayed out there often listening to the live music at the bar. The outdoor is beautiful, definitely not heated so it was very cold but we had fun. The indoor pool is heated though and there is a nice indoor and outdoor hot tub, super close to this property.

Great Location, Friendly workers at the tiki bar

You get the whole shabang while staying at the Purple Parrot. Not only is it gated, you have access to so many ammenities. Such as, an indoor pool, gym, tiki bar, and an outdoor pool. It’s in a quiet area with close beach access. If you are ever wondering what to do in the area hop on over to the Tiki Bar and they will be more than happy guide you to what you are looking for!

Family vaca

The purple parrot neighborhood was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! There were tons of kids which made our kids happy and everyone was so friendly! The house was so cute and was perfect for our family of 4!

Perfect location for a getaway!

We were looking for a quick getaway to escape the cold and this was the perfect place! The town isn’t too busy, and has everything you would want to do. Tommy was so helpful and accommodating before and throughout the stay! The place was so nice and had everything we needed. Would visit again!

Fishing trip

Stayed at the property for two weeks to enjoy a late year fishing trip. Found the property very accommodating and convenient. The accommodations were more than adequate, and made us very comfortable. Location and quick access to both restaurants and other attractions was a plus.
