Welcome to Blue Heron, a unique 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom multi-level, pet-friendly, luxury home on the bay in Perdido Key, FL! This picturesque, Bayfront home is approximately 3100 sq. ft. with multiple balconies overlooking the water, 9 ft. ceilings, brand new HVAC system and porcelain tile floors, and stainless steel appliances. If you’re looking for a place with the perfect outdoor setup, look no further. Blue Heron has 1,800 sq. ft. of outdoor 2x6 decks with a hammock, porch swing, lounge seating, corn hole set up, outdoor shower, and an outdoor bar/serving area with a grill. A private saltwater pool was also added in 2022 and can be heated during the cooler months (additional fees apply). The boat slip for this property is available for guest use and has room for a boat with maximum dimensions of 10 ft wide, 8 thousand lb, and 26ft long.

Blue Heron is the perfect place for your next family getaway or multi-family vacation that can accommodate up to 12 guests.

The Blue Heron was designed by renowned architect, Marshall Fischrupp, for his equally talented daughter, Blair Fischrupp Garth. The home itself is a work of art and is complimented with art done by Blair and her talented mother, Robie Fischrupp. Extremely high ceilings, custom millwork, and custom light fixtures are just some of the outstanding features of this 5-bedroom, 5-bath home. 

Blue Heron sits right next to Blue Crab for larger groups or families looking for a place to stay!

Perdido Key

Perdido Key is a beautiful, narrow strip of paradise on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It’s just minutes away from Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, but much less crowded. Known for sugary white sand and beautiful emerald oceans, you can enjoy all your favorite watersports here, from fishing and swimming to scuba diving and parasailing and more. There are several historic forts like Fort McRee, Fort Barrancas, and Fort Pickens to explore. And plenty of state parks for hiking and biking, starting with Big Lagoon State Park and Perdido Key State Park.

If you don’t feel like cooking, (and who can blame you, you’re on vacation), the Crab Trap, the Shrimp Basket, and Lillian’s Pan Pizza are all worth a try. And no visit to the Gulf Coast would be complete without a trip to the world-famous Flora-Bama Lounge with its bushwhackers, oysters, and live music! There is something for the whole family in Perdido Key!

The House was perfect for our needs and provided ample room/storage for families with small children. The combination of the dock/cooled pool provided plenty of entertainment for the days when it was too windy to be on the beach. Only thing keeping this property from 5 stars is that the boat lift needs minor repairs, and I kept my boat in the water for the duration of our stay which wasn’t ideal during thunderstorms, though also not a deal breaker. Great home, thanks for hosting.

Awesome family vacation

This is a fantastic home for families! Ample space for everyone and the lower level works really well for those with kids The views are awesome, the pool and pier are in great shape and everything was squeaky clean. Check in and out is super easy and the communication was exceptional throughout. Highly recommend!!

The location of the home was great! Communication with the rental company was easy with quick responses. The minor issues we had we addressed quickly and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful family vacation! Something for everyone!

We loved the location! Little further from beach than we had expected-walking distance easily but difficult if taking umbrellas & chairs to walk that far. But the family favorite turned out to be the pool & dock area anyway! The pool was a life saver since the beach had red & purple flags most of the week. And everyone loved fishing off the dock as well as watching dolphins & stingrays. House was very spacious & with 12 people every bedroom having its own bathroom was amazing!! Only real complaints were there was not enough dishes & silverware for 12 people to have dinner together. And some newer cookware needs to be added -in general kitchen needs to be reorganized & things replaced that are missing. Also we could not get a couple of the TV’s to sync to WiFi-we called but no one ever came to repair them. Not really a big deal as we all spent most of our time outside anyway. Would highly recommend this location & house for larger family vacations like ours-plenty of room for everyone! Never felt like we were cramped at all!

Great Location

Great location with a great outdoor area. We enjoyed fishing off the pier as well as the daily dolphin sightings. The kitchen/living/dining was spacious. The walk to the beach was easy. A few things to consider - the master bedroom is open to the dining/living area which does not allow for privacy. That opening also allows the sun to shine in at 8am with no way to block it. The two rooms on the lowest floor have doors to the outside with one of those doors being the only door with the keypad to enter the house creating another privacy issue. The house could use a good deep clean and some touch-ups.

View is amazing!

Recently stayed at this property with 7 adults and six children. The view is amazing! Pool is small but great. Access to beach is so close and easy. Things to note: kitchen was well stocked with kitchen accessories for cooking and eating but zero extra supplies (ie: no salt, pepper or anything of that nature.) 5 nice bedrooms with 5 bathrooms. Zero beach/pool towels. Outside grill area was great!

The house is located in a good area with many nearby attractions & things to do are just a short trip away by boat or car. Short walk to the beach but it could be a challenge to cross the main road with little kids. The interior & exterior of the house could use some maintenance. The 2 rooms on the first floor as well as the primary bedroom on the 3rd floor don’t have much privacy.

Good place to stay

I guess we are the first group to stay at this property since it was aquired. The place was large and in a good location. It was near everything we wanted to do. The home had some prior minor damages like wall and carpet issues, but nothing that hendered our stay. It could have been a little cleaner. The bathtubs and flooring could have used some extra cleaning. Any time, I texted in to the property management company, they were quick to respond and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed the home, location and view. I would stay here again.
