You can walk or bike through the 200 year old live oaks dripping with Spanish moss and photograph the beautiful salt marshes teaming with wildlife including egrets, herons, wood storks, turtles and the occasional alligator. Outside the resort you will find an extensive variety of highly rated restaurants and popular shops, especially the world famous Hammock Shops. The internationally renowned Brookgreen Gardens Sculpture Park and Zoo, Huntington National Seaside Park and Hobcaw Barony are within a ten minute drive. Our pristine, isolated beaches also are just a 5-minute drive away via the South Causeway. Murrells Inlet, the seafood capitol of South Carolina and its pretty MarshWalk, is 20 minutes north and Georgetown’s historic harbor with quaint shops, restaurants and boat tours is 15 minutes to the south. Myrtle Beach is an entertainment mecca with amusement rides, miniature golf courses, water parks, outlet shopping and a boardwalk.
