Below Expectations
We really appreciated Park City. The skiing, restaurants, and experience was wonderful. This VRBO is near the bus stop and going to the Park City Base on the Yellow 5 Bus is easy. However, the VRBO was below what we expected. There is no kitchen (it does have a mini fridge and microwave). But note that there is no sink (no drinking water), no plates, silverware, cups; also there is no stove / oven). Additionally, there is no shower soap, hand soap, dishwashing soap. As other reviews mention, it is a tight spot with few places to hang clothes (particularly desired for ski trips). The hot tub was at capacity both nights we tried to use it (i.e. over 20 people). We did speak to other folks who noted that their unit was cleaner and did have a kitchen...this was not. The beds were uncomfortable and difficult to sleep on. The VRBO is dated and not very clean. Ultimately a disappointing VRBO in a beautiful city.

My stay at 2015 prospector
The bathroom and shower were clean. The carpet was dirty, there were small rocks all over the floor. Not comfortable on the feet. The electric strip didnt work, there was only one outlet in the entire room that was useable. I had to sit the coffee pot on the sink to plug it in. In my opinion the beds were very firm not comfortable to me at all. The host communicated with me before my stay, but would not acknowledge my text when I checked out. The parking lot was always full. I had to find a place to park every day not at the property. I would not rent this property again.

Utah weekend
Loved the location, the bus stopping right in front of the VRBO was awesome. The water pressure on the 2nd floor sucked. The shower barely had water coming out and when taking a shower, the hot varies from cold to hot.

Worst experience in Park City over 40 years
When we arrived the coffee pot was on a shelf above the counter where the vrbo picture showed the coffee pot and the microwave. We put the coffee pot on the counter and plugged it into the 6 outlet power cord on the wall above the cabinet. During two of the first nights the electric went out and the association maintenance people reset the breaker. A couple days later the power cord went dead and did not carry any current. The maintenance staff came by and said that we should move the appliances to another outlet and call the owner. The condo owner accused us of moving moving the coffee pot from the dresser where they left it - a lie. The outlets behind the dresser were filled and it was too heavy to be moved particularly with the TV on it. The hosts story changed to they personally left it on the glass table. Again a lie, the only out let there was filled with the heating unit and the direct TV unit with a note on the wall saying not the disconnect the direct TV plug. We tried plug into the only other available outlet where the air conditioner was plugged, and unplugged the air conditioner as it is winter.

Hi Louise, We talked back and forth as these things happened. We have specific spots where things need to stay. Such as a microwaves plug cannot be switch to another outlet because a microwave is on its own breaker. Other outlets cannot support the power a microwave needs. We have the coffee maker on a separate outlet from the microwave, again for the power it draws. When both are plugged into the same outlet, it does cause the breaker to trip as it would in any home or condo. Multiple times we asked that you stop moving appliances and tried to explain this to you. Our maintenance contacted me letting me know this is what was going on, and that appliances kept being moved. We are sorry you felt this was not adequate for your experience. There is not much we can do about this situation when you don't cooperate. Any guest would need to follow the same rules. I wish we could have resolved this when we talked back and forth, but unfortunately this was not a good solution for you. Your feedback tells me that I could try and explain this in a better way should it happen again in the future. There is always a way to learn and grow from the experience and this is what we will be taking from this experience.

Problems
3 people booked for 6 days, was only provided 3 towels to start. The heater only stays on for a little then shuts off. No extra toilet paper in the room. The power strip broke on the second night. And the final night, the power went out and the person we rented from didn't answer email, called condo front desk and was told they would get maintenance. Well we woke up to no power still. Overalll not a good experience. Would not book again.

Great Location
The condo/hotel room was situated in a great location with shops and restaurants located within walking distance. The free shuttle was directly out front and was just a short 2 mile ride to Park City. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Park City received lots of snow leading up to and during our stay. I would advise guests to make sure they have a 4-wheel drive car or an all wheel drive vehicle as the parking lot and walk way was not plowed/cleaned very good. Thank you!

Overall all was well. The location was great, the bus stop is right outside. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. My only suggestion to improve this property is that there was no humidifier or any hooks to hang ski gear to dry. Two essentials of a ski condo ;) Like I said overall this place was just what we needed and the price was right.

Beware… no elevator!
The room itself was clean. Overall we had a favorable experience, but there were a few things that others should be aware of. While the listing does say that it is a top floor condo, no mention is made that there isn’t an elevator. Hauling luggage up 3 flights of stairs wasn’t fun. Could have also used more outlets… consider bringing a power strip with you. The bathroom is tiny, and there isn’t a lot of counter space.

Ski retreat
Great location. Steps to very convenient shuttle buses to slopes and main street. Room with two comfortable beds plus a microwave and mini-fridge. Walking distance to a number of restaurants in the Prospector Square area and short bus ride to main street.

Smallest space ever
Front light did not work, heater was off and space was freezing, heater needed service and was intermittent, no hot water for showers, 3 towels for 4 guests, no closet for hanging clothes, coffee maker inop. Owner was out of state and responded quickly to texts, and thankfully refunded our money.

Hello Cliff, Yes we do live out of state and have someone managing the items that you listed. We tried to do everything we could for your stay and had someone out the next morning to service the items you mentioned. Upon arrival they let us know all items were operable with no problems. There is hot water for the shower and we had that checked as well. Servicer stated water took less than 1 minute to heat up. Again we are sorry for these inconveniences but we did pay for a specialist to go out and no problems were found.

Cozy unit really only room for two!
Wonderful beds and bedding! Missing a toaster and the coffee maker turned out to be a Kerig and I was not prepared for that!We walked would have welcomed some hooks to hang ski clothes on! but definitely enough drawer space! Generally it was wonderful! And a good location For skiing! Right on the bus line!

Poor and inaccurate communication
The property manager was slow to respond at the beginning, not responding for a couple of weeks after the booking. Then didn't respond for a full week to a message sent when we left explaining some things that needed attention (all minor). Then, 8 days after our departure she left a message accusing us of flushing paper towels down the toilet (and we had no paper towels in the unit at any time, and certainly know better than to do that). This may have been a mistake (wrong window?) or something, but she hasn't responded again. But it sounded like a scam to squeeze money out of us. Overall, the property was adequate although sterile, but met our needs. But of course, with communication like that I wouldn't deal with that property manager again.

Hi Randy, I personally go to the condo and check it out. We always keep it stocked with paper towels. One on the holder and extras in the bottom cabinet. The reason we were slow to respond is because our condo and the two condos below us had flooded and we were busy trying to take care of fixing those condos so their guests could check in. This also caused our condo to shut down during repairs. I am sorry you feel our communication hasn’t been exceptional. We have photos of all the paper towels that they pulled out of the toilet, as well as all of the damage it caused. Luckily we caught it the day after you checked out. Everything is fixed now and we will make sure to be more prompt in the future.

Cheap and easy. Would recommend
My partner and I got this place pretty last minute for a wedding in town and it was perfect for us. We were expecting lower quality and a more dingy room for the price point, but it wasn’t bad at all! Definitely bigger than we expected. Check in was easy even though we got there at 1am and we had all the accommodations we needed.

Perfect stay
Lindsey was awesome to work with. We decided to start our trip a day earlier to avoid a major winter storm and she was able to accommodate us. Although the condo is a little dated it was clean, everything worked properly, and the beds were very comfortable. It was perfect for an 8 day ski vacation. The bus stop was 15 steps from the building and made getting to PCMR very easy. Ample parking was available which made our days driving to canyons easy. Plenty of quality dining within a 5 minute walk. Highly recommend.

The property was close to the lift lines. We choose to drive, but the bus stop is right outside the door. After a long day on the slopes it would have been nice to have a hot full shower. The existing shower was little more than a drizzle. Did the job for this trip, but not sure I would go there again

While there was coffee, which we appreciated it would have been nice to have some type of creamer? There was only one washcloth? Hairdryer didn't work. No place to hang clothes, which was an issue as we were there for a wedding and had dress outfits.

Great place for two people
This place was great for my 21 year old son and I. Very convenient to the slopes. Bus picks up and drops off right in front of the place. However in hindsight we would have driven each day. It is great to just walk out and get in your car after skiing for 7 hours. Because we had to check out at 11:00 on the last day and still skied we went to the Park City Rec center for a shower prior to heading to the airport. It was $2.00 for a shower if you have a towel.

Winter Weekend Stay
The condo was clean and comfortable - super comfortable, soft beds. The building shows a little bit of age so our first impression was a little skeptical but the interior of the condo is fine (I’d recommend changing the floors from carpet to hard surface if possible). The location is a little bit removed from downtown Park City (Old Town) and Park City Ski Resort but its only a short drive - +/-5 minutes so everything was still convenient, especially the Grocery store and ski rental shops. (2-3 minutes drive). If you want to be in the middle of the nightlife scene, this isn’t the location for you but if you want a simple, nice condo for less expensive than some of the other places around - this works perfectly. Our only minor complaint is that the noise at night coming from the street was a little loud and people coming in and out of the building was noticeable.

Good budget option for Park City Resort area
This was a great place for our ski vacation in Park City. The unit itself is located on the 3rd floor. It is conveniently located near the bus stop and buses to the resort and to Main St. run about every 20 minutes. The surrounding area was residential and quiet. Would definitely recommend this location and unit!

Great location, clean and open room.
This was a fun location right by shops and a few minutes away from Main St. The hot tub and pool were nice and clean also. The common hallway smelled like smoke the first time we went in but didn't smell at all in the room. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Disappointing.
Overall first impression was not good. Several of the units had broken blinds/window. No parking available when returning at night. The unit we stayed in had no closet which meant our gear was piled on the table and chairs which made them unavailable for proper use. Shower head was not good at all. The owner was easy to reach and helpful but we're really disappointed for the money we spent.

Hi Colleen, I apologize that you didn't have a good experience. We personally go and clean the condo about twice a week. I haven't seen any broken blinds or windows when we have gone up there. The HOA does a very good job at keeping the buildings in good shape. I am sorry the shower head seemed bad, we did just replace it a few weeks ago with one that softens the water, so it is brand new. I apologize it didn't seem the best when you stayed. For the gear, we have tried to leave plenty of room by the front door for guests to lay down their gear, we didn't state in our description there was a closet for that so I am sorry if we didn't make that clear. I do always text back as quickly as possible to all guests so I wish you would have brought this to my attention while you were staying with us. Again I'm sorry you didn't have a good stay with us, but I do hope you will consider staying with us again. Definitely let me know if you do plan on coming to Park City and I would be happy to try and work something out with you.

Great location! Cozy room!
Cozy as advertised, but well appointed and had everything we needed! Check in/out was super easy, location was amazing - and the BEDS were insanely comfortable!! Lots of stores nearby to stock up on supplies, and Grub Steak right around the corner! There was a little bit of apartment noise during the night - but ear plugs did the trick!

Comfortable and cozy - great location.
This property was perfect for our first Sundance experience. There is a bus stop right outside of the door and many others less than 5 minutes away (walking). The staff at The Prospector is on call 24/7 and extremely helpful. The property was cozy without feeling too small. The bed is extremely comfortable and the TV is hooked up with direct tv. Make sure to grab pizza at Fuego one night - it's walking distance from the property The only thing we were missing was a closet to hang our clothes. There were hooks by the door for our jackets. But, the closet in the room wasn't equipped with a rod and hangers. However, there is plenty of drawer space. The owner was extremely quick to respond and provided excellent details that made it easy to find the place, check in, and navigate our stay.
