Renovated Gulfview townhome just Steps to the Beach!

Ray of Sunshine is a newly renovated townhome in the desirable gulf side community of Barrier Dunes! Located only steps to the white sand and emerald waters of the gulf, this unit boasts 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and an open living floor plan. Upon entry into a quaint foyer you will walk up a flight of stairs and find a bright, colorful and cozy main living space, dining area and a fully stocked kitchen. An 8 foot slider off the living room fills the space with light and combines indoor/outdoor living with a large deck that offers brand new trex composite decking, polywood furniture and a grill to cook your days catch! Inside you'll find a freshly updated full bathroom with large double vanity, shower, a stackable washer/dryer and bedroom that sleeps 3, featuring a queen size bed and a built in twin bunk loft above. This bedroom also features its own private balcony.
Up another flight of stairs is your master bedroom oasis featuring a new Casper king size mattress, newly updated master bath with a double vanity, standing shower and separate large garden tub. Another 8 foot slider opens to your large private balcony featuring views of the gulf!! Enjoy your coffee on the new polywood furniture with beautiful view and ocean breeze!
Under the home you will find an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach, a deck with table and chairs and a closet filled with beach chairs, an umbrella, and toys that you are welcome to use during your stay!

The Barrier Dunes community offers ample amenities to enjoy during your stay including a freshly resurfaced gulf side swimming pool with beautiful views of the gulf, a second heated swimming pool, tennis courts and a brand new playground! Our community is steps away from the award winning St. Joseph Peninsula State Park which offers beautiful hiking, miles of empty beaches, bay access and fun excursions for the entire family!

Great Hostess and Comfy unit

We had a great time, we love barrier dunes and loved this location. Easy access to the beach, great top level view, comfortable furniture in and out and the beds and pillows were great. Kitchen is well stocked and a big fridge is great. Hostess was super helpful, felt right at home and like a guest at the same time.

Perfect spot for a relaxing trip

This was such a great spot for a relaxing beach trip. Location was great, just a short walk to the beach, and the place was very comfortable and spacious. The house was decorated very nice which was also appealed to us in making this selection and we are glad that we did! It's located towards the south end of the neighborhood, and so even during a busy holiday weekend, we were able to find a nice quiet spot on the beach!

Hidden Gem

A fabulous place to stay while enjoying a beautiful quiet beach. Very well stocked kitchen and tastefully decorated unit. All the extras including beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. Drip coffee maker appreciated, much better than a pod coffee maker. Spacious decks off every level and the master deck was a great morning coffee spot. Very easy walk to the beach down a sidewalk to the boardwalk. The owner was extremely helpful with our questions and her instructions were easy to follow and uncomplicated.

Nice home and good location

A very nice home just a short walk from the beach. The community also has two nice pools to cool off in after a long day at the beach. Property owner replies immediately to answer any questions about your stay there. I would return to this home next time we are in the area.

Lovely place on a stunning beach

Would definitely stay here again! This condo was just lovely. The community felt very safe and it was mostly families with children and dogs staying around us. The unit itself has a beautiful view on the second floor balcony of the ocean. The kitchen had all the cooking equipment we needed to make basic dinners, the fridge is very roomy. I suggest bringing paper towels, dish soap and zip lock bags if you use them. The coffee maker is a regular drip style, not a Keurig style and there were plenty of filters there. In the closet under the unit were plenty of nice beach chairs, even two for small children with coolers and pockets on the back with carrying straps. There's also a tent but I think it's broken. We saw a beach umbrella but had our own so I'm not sure if that's in good condition. A boogie board and some beach toys as well. It was a very quick walk to get to the beach, but get there early to set up because we had to walk a ways down the beach to get a spot. Still not a bad walk! The bed in the master bedroom was very comfy. My teenagers enjoyed the beds in the other bedroom as they slept through most mornings! The washer is pretty tiny so plan on doing smaller loads more often. Claire, the hostess was very friendly and prompt in communicating and gave us so much great information and suggestions for places to eat or things to do! Overall, we loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone!

First of all Claire is great and very response . Second the Cape is awesome . Third , the townhouse is very nice and close to beach , less then 2 min walk . Forth , the beach is the best ! Will definitely return !!!!

Another Lovely Trip to the Cape

Had such a relaxing week! Weather was stormy, but was still a great getaway. Condo was just as described, with a very short walk to the beach. Owner was very responsive with questions. Would highly recommend!

We had an incredible stay at barrier dunes and Claire was absolutely amazing! The condo itself was immaculate and perfect for our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook all of our meals. The sunsets were incredible. We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely place and very nice community. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t want to leave.

Our rental experience was so amazing. The owner was so welcoming and gracious. We have never dealt with anyone so nice and we could tell she truly wanted us to enjoy our stay. And of course we had an amazing time. That in itself will more than make us return again.

Awesome Stay!

We loved our stay at this location! It was SO close to the beach (1 minute walking, if that) and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Our 2-year-old loved it, but make sure to bring a baby gate to block off stairs if your little one hasn’t mastered steps. The bottom deck was awesome. It has a door to the steps so it’s like a huge outside playpen. The owner has done a great job renovating and the finishes in the bathrooms are quite stunning. Great outdoor shower with hot water underneath the house, as well as everything you could need for cooking. The unit is an end unit so you only have to deal with neighbor sound on one side. But it wasn’t bad at all. The location of the townhouse in Barrier Dunes is nice and private. We had a great time and couldn’t have asked for a better host than Claire! She was so responsive and so friendly! You can indeed see the water from the top deck so it’s a nice way to wake up in the morning. All-in-all, very satisfied with our choice to stay here!
