It was just a quick in and out visit, so didn't want to pay a lot. It did the job, is a little tired, tape around mirror, wall not clean under bench, bathroom dated. But was ok for the price and the fact we only slept and left. Pillows were hard beds comfy enough. Free WiFi.

Good value and comfortable.
A small but comfortable older style unit just five minutes from the city centre and not much further from the airport. Electric blanket and reliable heating welcomed on a cold Palmy night. Staff very obliging, as ever. My second visit but not my last.

Our Always Inn Motel Unit was a great base for my family as we stayed in Palmerston North over a few days. We appreciated the heaters which kept us warm through some cold winter days. The staff were friendly and the Manager was very helpful.

Value for money
Room had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The owner is great and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. The electric blankets and heater were on when we arrived. Room was very clean. We would stay again.

A good value option
A good choice for a short stay. Room had all amenities and was warm and comfortable. Bathroom a bit old though everything spotlessly clean. A little out of the town centre but really only 5 minutes drive. Would stay there again.

Thoughtful staff and comfy bed
Stayed one night en-route to Wellington. Arrived late at night due to long drive. On arrival the heater and electric blanket were on. So thoughtful! Room was comfy with everything you need for a short stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Cheap and cheerful
An older motel and the outside really needs a facelift, however, I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. Everything was very clean, bright and comfortable and there were some thoughtful extras such as makeup remover pads in the bathroom. The only negative is that the entire shower needs updating and the water pressure was poor. Pretty good value for money and very friendly owner.

Close to the heartbeat of Palmerston North
Easy check in. Ian was helpful with questions I had about the town. Room was clean. Loved the complimentary peanuts. Ample sizes of complimentary toiletries. So many extras in the room if needed - hot water heater, coffee, etc.

Good Value
Like visiting a friend. I got a txt early the day of our arrival querying when we would arrive, from Ian. Very pleasant, and a congenial fellow when we did arrive. Quality as one would expect for a budget price but clean and perfectly serviceable. He was out of brochures on local restaurants, but other than that just fine.

Very clean and great service
The room was so clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. We were given clean towels each day and when I asked a staff member if I could do some laundry, she kindly offered to do it for me and returned all clean and dry. A lovely Motel to stay at. I'd definitely stay there again and will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Beautifully clean
Although the motel appears quite old, it is extremely clean. Owner friendly and waited up for us to arrive late. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay again for sure.

Motel we had stayed at years ago
The first night was fine the next day when we left the reception was still closed at nine am. that night we where disturbed all night by the people next door , in and out there door smoking and the door was slammed open and closed. the next morning the reception was still closed at nine thirty when we left. When we returned at three thirty the reception was closed and owners where out we where disturbed that night from next door with talking and laughing and in and out the door until I shouted out to shut up. There was no info in the room about the motel or who ran it or anything. we where going to book another stay here for a time in May but changed our minds after this disappointing stay.

It was disappointing to have no sink or water in the kitchen. If you wanted a cup of tea the only place to fill up the kettle was in the bathroom and there was nowhere to wash dishes.
