Staff are super friendly, level of service was lacking. We were told that there would be a reception staff member in reception for busienss hours. We saw someone there for 2 hrs total our entire trip. No plaquard in our room to designate if we wanted service or not. We did want it and did not recieve it for half our stay. We were told there would be coffee in our lobby AND in the Selena Villas for continental breakfast. There was never coffee in our lobby. Continental breakfast was yogurt, granola, berries, dates and 2 types of pastries. Half our stay the coffee at breakfast was not avaliable (only 25 mins after the start of breakfast). And breakfast would frequently be out of the severely limited options that WERE offered. The MOST unfortunate experience that we experienced at breakfast was when the staff member wiped down the counter next to the granola with their bare hands and dumped it BACK INTO THE granola container for the next guest to use. In the pool area there was no where to deposit used towels and they would routinely be left for over 24 hrs in piles. Really like the area, the actual hotel is super charming, but service was very disappointing.
