"The room was spacious with large, comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had brought some fruit with us, and the staff kindly washed, cut, and even brought it to our room — a really thoughtful touch that we appreciated. When we booked the hotel, we didn’t know there was ongoing renovation work in the restaurant — it wasn’t a huge drawback, but the lighting in the evenings was a bit unpleasant. The hotel is also located very close to the viewpoint and the lake, which was a great bonus."

"The hotel has false advertising, looks very nice in the pictures. The halls have old stained rugs, the hot water doesn’t work, you can barely see the lake from the room and we booked a lake view room. We had incredible food in Sri Lanka but the food at the restaurant was horrible."
