Decorated with personal touches, this is your home away from home to take in the ocean breeze and take long walks along the sand.
Enjoy the direct views of the beach and Channel Islands from the open floor plan. living space with vaulted ceilings.
Internet with smart TVs in the rooms, kitchen supplies, and board games means you can enjoy all the creature comforts if you want to relax indoors.

Two bedrooms and one bath accompany the living area upstairs.
Downstairs, a one bedroom suit with kitchenette and convertible futon offers privacy and space for part of your travelers.

There are also plenty of outdoor private areas to take in the ocean breeze. A roof deck allows you to lounge out in the sun or take in the panoramic views of the sunset. Great place to stay

The home is beautiful with great ocean view views. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the games and had a good supply of kids toys. Communication with property manager was very quick. I hope to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Great Girls Trip

Excellent place for our girls weekend. Great views and location. House was stocked with everything we needed (beach chairs, umbrella, sand mat, beach towels). Loved that it was walking distance to the local café and a few restaurants/hotels. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great Spot for the Family

Wonderful property right across from the beach, even a view of the beach from the balcony and rooftop deck. Plenty of toys for the kids. Plastic plates, glasses for the kids. This is a great place to bring the family.

Great stay!

If you’re looking for a beachhouse close to Oxnard, Malibu and Santa Barbara this is you’re place. Beach and sea view and situated on a slow traffic road. Lots of beach necessities, toys for the kids, and great central location.The kitchen is fully equipped. We don’t have any recommendations and would highly recommend this property for next travelers.

This is second stay at The Kid. This place is even more than advertised. The communication with the host is outstanding. The house is beyond clean, has every amenity you could imagine. The location is very quiet and safe. I will definitely be back for year three!!

Great place, Great location

After looking extensively for a house near Hollywood Beach, we chose The Kid over other properties because of its great reviews. We were not disappointed. Accommodations were great, the kitchen was well appointed, and even the inside of the washing machine was clean (not leaving residue on black clothes like many others I've used while away). We had high winds for the first part of our stay, so it was great to have the nice, bright and open living spaces at The Kid with a view to beach from indoors. Sandy was a responsive host, and graciously provided a late check-out so we could enjoy our last day there once the winds had died down. Overall we had a great time and would recommend The Kid to others.

This property was exactly how it is advertised. It's well appointed and clean. The location is everything. Perfect house for a family or two couples. I loved the view and would go back in a minute!! Ohh and the owner/property manager is extremely attentive and kind!!! This is a five star rating without question.

Second Time in Paradise

We stayed here two years ago and were so thrilled to do so again! As we remembered, the location across from the beach is top notch. Everything is spotlessly clean at check in, the "kid zone" downstairs is a dream. We love the rooftop and appreciate the new cushions! Sandy is fabulous and responsive, and we plan to book again for the future! The only small thing that could use improvement is the bed situation in the smaller of the two upstairs bedrooms. The "bookcase bed" is pretty small and whoever sleeps there ends up rolling into the bookcase, which isn't ideal. Utilizing the trundle bed underneath is very difficult (puling it out actually made the main bed's mattress fall down through the slats) and once it is out you can't get it back in - which is not great since that door is the only access to the rooftop patio. I think swapping that out for regular queen size bed would do WONDERS for everyone's comfort. Still, we'd not hesitate to stay here again in a heartbeat. Such a gem!

Outstanding Beach Home!

An outstanding beach home, with an ocean front view! Accommodations are superb with supplies and amenities in abundance. Extremely child friendly, games galore and an extremely well stocked kitchen. Although we did not have kids, I was so impressed with all the supplies and toys available if we did. The deck above gave us an amazing sunrise and sunset view each day. The house is filled with charm and warmth and fun. I've stayed in a few places, and this is one of the classiest ever. I hope to be returning soon. We've got wonderful memories of our 4 day-weekend and greatly appreciate the hostess' kindness and details that left us with absolutely nothing to worry about. Love, Love this place!

Dream Vacation!

Beautiful home with incredible views, welcoming atmosphere and everything you could hope for. Our host welcomed us with a sweet gift basket which started the entire vacation on such a happy note. The home is wonderful with everything you could need, including toys, book, games, beach toys, chairs, etc. Sandy was incredibly helpful & responsive during our entire stay, truly a wonderful host! The view is phenomenal and it was lovely enjoying a quiet morning or evening on the patio or rooftop looking out to the ocean waves. Some mornings I’d make coffee and walk the beach looking for shells which was such a tranquil time. The beach is beautiful and not crowded like most SoCal beaches & steps from the house. Silver Strand beach is a couple min drive down the road where you can find calmer water and a ton of sand dollars. A two minute walk to the harbor where we enjoyed delicious meals and watched seals hopping onto docks and boats entering the harbor. If you want a relaxing beach vacation in a beautiful home at a quiet beach, this is the place!! We would definitely stay at The Kid again!

Great Family Beach Trip

This place was great for our family of 4. Sandy, the owner, was fantastic. The location was great being right across the street from the beach. There is a vacant lot on the sand across the street so you can see the ocean from the unit, which is a nice perk. Easy 5 star review.

Summer get away

We just returned from a week stay at The Kid. I had LOTS of questions for the property owner since we were taking parents in their 70s and I was worried about mobility up and down stairs. There was plenty of room, the place was clean and well-stocked. We really enjoyed the quietness of the Oxnard area but the close drive to Ventura and other places (checked out the Reagan Presidential Library.) The beds, including the futon, were comfortable. We never had more than 6 people at a time. However, I would say that 8 adults would be tight in this place. The view each of the ocean all day long was amazing! We will be back!
