I booked this room for my husband for one night as he had to come into Kincardine from Hamilton for work. I booked the reservation before lunchtime and my husband didn’t arrive until around 5 PM. When he got there, he was informed that they had no hot water, and When he asked when there would be hot water back the front desk told him maybe Monday. They told him he could cancel his reservation and then go over to the comfort Inn and book there and their rate was around $150 for the night however he informed them that I already prepaid through Expedia and I used $70 in points but still paid $110 for the room. They then got him a room at the comfort Inn somehow without cancelling his reservation at TownePlace suites. Now looking there is an almost $40 price difference between the two places that we’ve now lost out on. The hotel easily could’ve contacted us in the five hours that we had a reservation before he got there to indicate to us that there was no hot water. Also, I’m not sure how they still have rooms available for $180 a night when they have no hot water.
