We stayed at this hotel four years ago and had a great experience, so choosing it again seemed like an easy decision. Unfortunately, it appears very little maintenance has been done since our last visit. The couch had several stains, and the fireplace glass had what appeared to be dried blood on it. The room clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time, as dirt, mold, and cobwebs were noticeable.
Breakfast was disappointing, there was no milk for the cereal, the hot trays were nearly empty, what was there was greasy and cold, the eggs must have been powdered. To top that off good luck finding clean dishes. The hot tub, when it did work, only ran for a few minutes before the breaker tripped. With the exception of the very kind staff member we encountered on our first night, requests to have it reset were often met with a poor attitude.
If not for the excellent service provided by that one employee, I would be giving this hotel one star. Overall, this stay was a far cry from our first experience, and it is evident that the owners are not investing in the property at all.
